Seriously Sid, when i worked in corporate, you'd be amazed how many celebs will go low cost, or get up early to save a few quid.

The big spenders were businessmen, i once booked a holiday for £54k, plus £16k flights.

    4% of that...Kerchiiiing!

    Aye!

May-July, and December-Feb it was outrageous the commission.

I never worked that hard in all honesty, but i made a lot of money.

Up to April this year, top sellers were making 6-10k a month, people don't realise the money to be made.

If in doubt, look in the BA call centre car parks, you'll see BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc, it was insane.

I left there over a year ago like, and they changed and capped commission from May, but ****ing hell did we milk it.

Was talking to my mate on the phone earlier who is a spurs season ticket holder and he reckons Defoe has just bought a house right next to Spurs's training ground. I honestly carnt see this deal happening.

All I know is Bruceys Beak was bang on when we signed Judas.
If he says Defoe was in the North East then for me. He was in the North East. Maybe shopping at the Metro. But he was up there.

Think I would probably be a bit jealous if you guys managed to land Defoe, always thought of him as being someone I'd love see at SJP, has went off the boil a bit in recent times but still a top striker.

I just don't like the bloke at all. Then again I never liked shearer as a man but in the white shirt of England. I cheered as loud as anyone when he got a goal.
    Would I sign Defoe? No.
Should SAFC try to sign Defoe? Yeah, probably.

May i also draw your eyes to the 'I know that Larsson will sign, as he said to a friend of mine personally he wants to play for Bruce...'

That was 5 weeks or so ago, and i said it'd be July 1st nailed on.

Read his quotes after signing, not only did i get the date right, he also cited Bruce as the main pull.

That said, this Defoe chat is 2nd hand, so i'm not claiming ITK, it may harm my 100% non bollocks record ;)

Mate. You may remember I too used to work in aviation.
You find out all sorts of **** like who's going where. You may not know why, but you know they were there.

A Jermaine Defoe of 3 yuears ago would be an asset to any club. The one that has masqueraded as an EPL striker for the past 2 seasons will be a huge waste of time and a considerable amount of money IMO.

Personally, I really dont want him at all but if it were true and Bruce thought he could re-ignite the old Defoe, then I'd support him for sure.

He was a real 'fox in the box' but hasnt been for over 18 months now.

I also think we are about 280 miles too far north for him as well.

    Glam mate.....

Thing is once you live somewhere, your subconscious knows you ain't on holiday, so s don't really sunbathe etc or owt like that.

We have a BBQ every Sunday though, and it's amazing how much easier it is knowing that it ain't gonna be cold and wet every morning.

Was cloudy for a while today, and it looked like it was gonna piss down, i actually hoped it would, just for a change, but nope!

One of the lads here was saying the winters can be ghastly though, not cold but grim, apparently it rained literally non-stop for 5 weeks a couple of years back.

    ****ing hell, 5 weeks solid?

    Haha.
I lived in Cyprus for three years 2005-2008. Loved it. Like you say guaranteed sun most of the year.
The winters were bleak though. Not like Britain with the snow and frost. Just bleak.
That said I'd move back tomorrow if I could.

Well i've only been out here a month, and it's clear to me that i have no intention of going back.

We made the move at a good time, we had everything just about perfect back home, place, cars, good income, we thought this is the time to do it, too many people think the grass is greener and they can bail out and things will just click, i knew i had to get out here, get connected and put the graft in.

Cyprus is beautiful mate, we were over there last year, stayed at the Aphrodite Hills, beautiful place, and some of the most genuinely friendly people on the planet, without a doubt.

    Great food as well.
