Because people have different opinions. I dont agree with CTWD's stance, for me it's time for him to go. I cant think how anyone could actually do a worse job than he has. The same people who made Bartlett public enemy number 1 for putting us on the brink of financial collapse seem to be quiet about Allam putting us in 300% more debt.

The difference is, under the Allams our finances are manageable, and have a long term goal of being profitable.

I dont see how they are manageable at all. And I'm pretty sure Bartlett had a long term goal of being profitable. The problem was we got relegated.

Bartletts long term goal was for him to be profitable. I understand why it's difficult to understand, we're not expected to think like this and we're naturally suspicious of anyone rich but Assems long term goal is for the club to be successful.

That's a stupid point. Isn't EVERY chairman's long term goal for their club to be successful and profitable?

Which chairman ever wanted failure and debt?

Bartlett had the same aim but found out he and Duffen were **** at running football clubs. Allam has the same problem.

    Erm....no they're not, they're officially and unofficially not anti-Allam.

They think he's a bit of a lunatic, but fundamentally only disagree with him on the name change and his daft fall out with the council.

    Agree.

Allam is doing this out of pig handedness and spite. The others where just bad at there job and out there depths.

Yes, sorry, I was agreeing with you and pointing out the stupidity of Happy's argument.

Though that's usually a waste of time.

Thanks for proving my point. I had a funny feeling you'd be one who wouldn't understand.

Let me make it easier for you. Some chairmen do it to make themselves, personally, richer. Or in Bartletts case try and fail (relatively, as I suspect that he did ok). Some do it for the benefit of the club. Yes Dr Allam is making money on interest payments but he had to risk his own cash to do that.

Totally different approaches. Hopefully that's clearer for you.

I hate to smash your halo of superiority, but the only way a chairman can generate a personal profit for himself is for his club to be successful and profit-making in the first place.

    Obviously.

Hardly anybody, ever makes money out of being a football club owner. Of course there are exceptions, but they are precisely that - exceptions. It is often described as the surest way to lose a fortune.

    And what he said.

The bit that did it for me was in Mr Allams latest speach

IF I DONT GET THE NAME CHANGE I AM LEAVING

If he cared that much about the club he would STAY

    so let him go

    Big deal

IF HE ACTUALY CARED THAT MUCH HE WOULD NEVER HAVE MADE THAT THREAT TO EVERY SUPPORTER OF THE CLUB INCLUDING HIS OWN SUPPORTERS WHO BACK HIM
