Smug,

How well do you know Paris? My lass is goig for a concert on Friday night, it's at Stade de France, but she wants to stay quite central and see the city on Saturday before an evening flight back.

Trying to book her a place, is the Louvre pretty central, cos I've been offered an apartment there through a 3rd party?

I know you were coye d'azur based, but that closer to than Sunderland, when I went we stayed ****ing miles out.

The Louvre's perfect mate, you have a direct Metro to the stadium which takes about 10 minutes.
You can walk over the river to the Notre Dame in a few minutes

You can also get a boat trip along the river which is canny, you see loads of the city without fighting through the tourists.

The Louvre is phenomenal but you'd need a week to see everything tbh.

If she likes Monet there's the Musée d'Orsay a short walk across the Pont Royal bridge.

I think she'd be fine in that area mate, we stayed quite close when we went to the Beckham's 100th cap match at the Stade <ok>

Much obliged mate, I'll book her that, he's sent me some pictures and the place and area looks beautiful, just wondered about access.

Cheers <ok>

Don't be so daft, you're missing the point as well, perhaps your long standing grudge is colouring your judgement.

Of course I have pops at people all the time, I'd never say otherwise, why would I?

What I'm actually saying is that there are people, like OLM, who never miss a chance to try to prove me wrong or whatever.
That's actually fair enough, at least it's better than sneakily 'one starring' summat or whatever it's called.
I put myself up to be knocked down so I can't complain can I?

I actually think you're one of the best poster by a mile, on here, but find it hard to have owt to say to you.
You fail to see that most of what I say is tongue in cheek or simply aggressive in retaliation, never mind.

You stated that people come on here to have a pop at you - well touche you bullshitter, as for the point, well I'm not sure there is one

As for having a grudge pffft ...you flatter yourself. The day I get upset on here is the day I'll be an idiot for a day. Thanks for what you said about being a decent poster - you're OK too and when you talk about Sunderland and footy, well, I find nought to nowt to disagree with you most of the time - your judgment is accurate and sound. Some of your adventuresome tales are quite good too <ok>

That's one thing I'm not, many people have made that remark without any justification other than their own prejudice.

There are people on here who know me who'd rip the piss, on this very forum, if I bullshitted <ok>

Smug has got under my skin a few times, upon reflection I always end up saying to myself "I asked for that" - however, he doesn't hold grudges but does have a sense of humour, good memory and strong arms to pull your leg with.

I don't believe he is a bullshitter, some people do have the drive and ambition or opportunities to do different and interesting things, Smug does appear to be one of these people.

Good luck to him(probably does not need it) and I look forward to reading of past, current and future exploits.

I think the reference went a year ago or so - the banter went something like
Smug: (shameless) you're a bulls**tter
Shameless: so are you
Smug: takes one to know one

I think also that although bulls**t can mean lie/deceive, it can also mean someone who likes to blag it or even tease (vis-a-vis: 'stop s**tting me', to mean stop bulls**tting)

But I'm entirely wrong when I say 'you're holding a grudge' ....... okey dokey <whistle>

You're a prisoner of your own ego <ok>

Am merely saying the bullshitter comment was the light-hearted version of the term.

Not really mate, although I accept my limitations.

I'm answering various posts while following a complicated recording of Morse, reading the Sunday Times & doing some actual work, for my business, on the laptop. Please excuse me if I'm not paying full attention to the multitude of nonsensical posts on a little football chat forum <ok>

Heifershitter for the metrosexuals among us, or non-judgmentally-gender-biased ****ter for our bright new gender and prejudice free world?
