Iv'e known smug 9/10 years now through the forums and met the lad. It is all tongue in cheek with him, cynical, to the point but no bullshitter.

I think a lot of people think of him as the fekkin pantomime villain on these boards when really he is just someone tapping at the keys, (oh he's behind you) far away. The reason I like him? He's humane, honest, funny and fekkin cares plus he is a Sunderland AFC nut and that does for me. We all have a story to tell, his are interesting and seeing as he is an old **** now, there's plenty of them, good on him for sharing.

He still pisses me off at times when he won't let go of the bone but that is what makes the lad a great forum poster and him as a smug fekker. Carry-on-mate, you will never be behind me <laugh><ok>

It would be easier not to mate, with all the flak I take.

It's just that I know a lot of the 'old school' lads appreciate the stories and know they're true because they were there for many of them.

People who lived through the 15,000 at Cardiff, the battles at SJP, the Little Bistro, the horses on the terraces etc deserve their place on this forum. The 'Sky generation' with painted faces and all seated 'good behaviour' can't have this forum to themselves ffs.

If they think some of these stories are far fetched then they can get ****ed, no one is asking them for their approval.

Let them post their own dreary ****ing threads about 'having a nice chat with some Arsenal supporters in the Colliery'.

Things were different in the old days but you can only inhabit the time & place you land in.

There was a lot of **** to land in back then and I know many that did. When I look at the world now I worry and at times feel embarrassed by the fact that our generation and maybe the one a decade before, created the mess what created a lot of the **** that we have now..

We were just daft lads who knew no better mate.

We didn't have the advantage of global knowledge and mass communication ...... it's easy for people to judge us now.

Just as it's easy to mock people who once thought God created the universe and everything in it.

Seriously though, not many people had a phone in the house in the early 70's, and when they changed the A & B & C buttoned red phone boxes to the beep beep beep ones, we thought the ****ing Martians had landed to take us to the next level <laugh>

See there's polls on here now about twatting posters <ok>.. Another notch on the walking stick old man & well done..<laugh>

One of my very best friends was 'awarded' the whole front page of the News of the World in the 1980's <laugh>

He was given the name 'Dr Big' after the number plate of his bright orange Dodge Charger ....... DRB 1G.

He had a massive operation supplying steroids to gyms all over Europe.

He was importing muscle/meat building steroids from Eastern Europe, by the truckload, and supplying them to gyms all over the pace.

They were given to cows to produce quick cheap meat for human consumption.

Paul's a great lad and now, sadly, in a sanatorium in Birmingham ........ breaks my heart whenever I pluck up the courage to visit <doh>

    I really 'miss' him mate.

It would appear so, I hadn't noticed 'til you mentioned it.

    Tomorrow we're having,
"Posters you'd most like to have tortured because they've said horrible things to me and really really upset me!"
