Gyan lost his strike partner in January when Darren Bent was sold to Aston Villa, but still managed to keep making his mark for the Wearside club under Manager Steve Bruce.

Extra cash secured after the appearance in the FA Cup Final has Stoke Manager Tony Pulis in the hunt for a top class striker and Gyan could be just that for his club. However, Goal.com have posted statements from Gyan saying that he is not going to leave the Black Cats as he is fully committed to the club.

If the club receive a good enough offer he will go, but it certainly won't be to Stoke for £10m!

What a joke some of these Journalists are...

I fancy Arsenal's style of play will suit him, so might Spurs and we know he likes MUFC. Personally, I don't think he's shown enough even though he's displayed more skill and dynamism than Drogba or Rooney this season.

Arsenal need a Darren Bent, not another show boat player. They have enough skillful players, just need someone who does nowt but put the ball in the net.

Instead of trying to pass it into the goal, then maybe they will more than also ran's.

Gyan suits their style now, but that ain't gonna win them sod all. A judas style player would help them out. A 20+ goal man is what they need, and Gyan ain't that.

Why would we sell him FFS! Good strikers are hard to come by and we are still very short up front. Any replacement would be expensive and there is always a gamble. Gyan fits in here and the fans like him. The Mirror really is a pile of s**t.

I agree that he is a fans favourite and most of us, including me, would be gutted to see him leave. The trouble is that in our heart of hearts, we all know that if a high enough bid came in for him, the club would sell him because sadly, that is how our club do business.

Don't agree Dorset. Only because the club must know the backlash generated if Gyan was sold at this time. I hope I'm not being too naive but if he was to be sold from our current position it would have to be classed as footballing suicide.

all totally valid points, cant fault them, but Arsene dont do Sunderland, well not yet. He [gyan] is a bit of a flair player, but for the Sunderland fan, we tend to like heart over ability, and if the player has both,,,,,,,,,,,,,,happy days, sadly in recent seasons we have lacked a little heart, `how many Kevin Balls to the pound these days?

...as it was in January. The board have done it twice in the last six months with Bent and Henderson. There was a massive backlash when Bent was sold, but they didn't bat an eyelid, just came out with a statement along the lines of "it was in the best interests of the club". SAFC have shown every other club that for the right price, they will sell regardless of what us fans think.

If a bid of £25-30m came in for Gyan he would be sold, absolutely no question about it.

In all honesty if we got that the club would be daft not to sell imho (as long as they have replacements already)
