Seriously, there is so much bullshit quoted from various Uruguayan's in this article that you would be able to smell it from Australia.

You can understand why though. Without him they're ****ed. Their best strategy is to claim nothing noteworthy happened and hope that if they say it often enough, and with enough conviction, that people will actually start to believe it. It's a long shot obviously, but it's basically their only hope.

Privately they'll be furious with him, but in public they have to support him, at least for now.

Relief for Liverpool...he is still saleable. Could easily have had a ban that would mean they were stuck with him.

Interesting that his agent blames England and Italy for this...it's indulging a player and trying to protect him from the consequences that has meant he hasn't got this childish side out of his nature.

I think it's rather pathetic actually. I mean 2 of those 4 months won't affect him as the season doesn't start until August. Is the 9 match ban just international?

So Rickie could start against us on the opening day. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I reckon they'll go with Sturridge up top with Coutinho, Sterling and Shaqiri (hopefully) behind, with Rickie to come on at some point.

I would think the ban would start when the season does? The 9 international game ban will start now.

Runs until Liverpool's game against Newcastle on November 1st, so it starts now.

Not sure who would buy him though, at least, not for anything like full price...
