Confirmed - Pardew will be the manager next season

Domestic cups are still a low priority so dont wish for any cup runs there wont be any. Lets hope the summer proves a turning point in transfers and out goings to make the squad much stronger in attack creativity and defence.

I think this marks the worst decision of Ashley's wonderful tenure. I personally think this will have an adverse affect on the quality of player coming in, something Mike Ashley has no idea about. Last season we had two things we don't have this season - Remy and Cabaye who had both benefited from a fair amount of PL experience. This Summer we'll be recruiting on the cheap and almost inevitably not from the Premier League. We will end up with a mish-mash squad of untried idiots and sh!te, with the biggest fcking clown I've ever seen in the dugout "managing" them to yet more of the same.

To be honest, I could go on and on but we all know the full story. There is no happy ending in this one - the abyss beckons next season. And if you had the misfortune to read Mark Douglas' musings about Villa, you'll also be aware there's no way out. Ashley will kill this club, mark my words, and will leave with a big fcking smile on his fat petulant face.

We all knew the squad was too small, Pardew knew it was too bloody small TWO seasons ago and he's in a better position than us to address that.

Selling Cabaye in January is a valid excuse but again he knew it was coming. Prepare for it in the way you set your team up – and frankly losing one player should NOT cause the total collapse in effort and application we saw from the rest!
He's compounded it with the idiotic (if overblown) headbutt – which at first wouldn't cause a problem, then he said it did. Scapegoating Ben Arfa when he's no more useless than the rest and then almost turning on the fans.

The more we see of him it confirms what we all thought when we appointed the bloke. He's underwhelming as a manager and the 5th place finish was more by luck than design.

If I honestly thought we could or would get anything better I'd be more bothered. If Fergie fell off his rocker, out of reirement and signed up he'd get nowt to work with anyway!

He's a dick and I wish he wasn't at our club for lots of reasons.
At the end of the day the decision is now made so I'll now concentrate my efforts on supporting whatever team he puts out.
I genuinely think we will be rock bottom by Christmas but I've been wrong before.
I'm tired of getting angry now and it achieved nothing so I'm going to kick back, recharge my batteries and live in hope that things will improve next season.
You just never know.....

i dont think this should surprise us sadly...but lets be honest we all know ashley and going by what we know he wouldnt want to part with the money to buy pardew out of his 8 year mega contract he stupidly gave out so to save money hes staying

To save money I'm not going.

To the games that is. I wont renew my ST and I'll save quite a bit by not travelling to the away games. After the rubbish we've been served up of late I wont miss it all that much.

Keeping Pardew is just further iteration of the clubs complete lack of ambition. It's crushingly disappointing stuff.

If we sign well this summer do you think it would change your mind or is a change of manager the only way forward?

It's a sad day when a die hard like yourself is forced to take this action AB.
Don't blame you one bit but it's a sad reflection on the true state of our club.
There will be hundreds, if not thousands who will be doing the very same thing no doubt.

The club just doesn't understand. Where once any new signing would be greeted with optimism, this Summer they will be mostly greeted with derision or pessimism, if indeed we sign anybody. But what we will get is a small amount of incomings, regardless of outgoings. Pardew will trot out the lines he always does, perhaps stating that Gosling or Marveaux barely played so couldn't really be counted as an outgoing, that our young players - Aarons, Armstrong and Abeid - have also filled places in the first team squad. He'll then turn the latter point back onto the fans, with comments more or less proclaiming "I thought that was what you wanted me to do??".

The endemic problem at Newcastle is that they, the powers that be, don't get it. They don't get that we are now in a state of hopeless resignation, they don't get that we're all only too aware that attendances will drop next season, they don't get that the first team would need more or less eleven internationals to be cheered on next season. They don't understand that we have lost most if not all of our faith. Ashley doesn't understand, in particular, but also absolutely doesn't give a toss. It makes no matter to him that the ground has only 30,000 or less in it, because the media audience remains in the billions.

Where this will fall down so badly is that players will no longer want to come. Parspew, the loathsome wretched sh1tstain, cannot motivate second rate players, he relies solely on the abilities of better players. So we will end up not being able to entice the kind of players Parspew has to have to win games. The lack of support will result in SJP becoming even more of a happy hunting ground, teams will turn up smelling blood and we will be cut adrift, stone cold bottom by Xmas. There will be no way back and Ashley will have no interest whatsoever in propping up a Championship side. At that point, it's a complete lottery as to who buys the club. But by then, no-one will give a flying fck as long as it's not Ashley in charge.
