It's a bit off-the-cuff to say that Sturridge is "a hell of a lot better" than Shaw in my opinion. How many people at his position are better than him...ok, so Sturridge is higher up the list of strikers than Luke Shaw is of left backs? Don't think so mate.
...yes, Sturridge has been arguably the second best striker in the league this season and Shaw is certainly not the second best left back. Sure, it's harder for left-backs to get acknowledgement, but are you telling me that if Liverpool offered us Sturridge in a swap for Shaw you'd tell them to shove it? And if Shaw has definitely had a better season than Sturridge then why is Sturridge nominated for the Player of the Season award while Shaw isn't?
