Delighted for both of them. WRT the comments, I think that we are seeing a pattern; Reed makes a statement that nobody is leaving, MP blanks questions about the future of his best players, and then both Adam and Luke both say, "we will see what happens in the summer". I think this is a concerted effort by everyone to manage the media, by a club which is united and, dare I at it, united as one?
Delighted for Adam and Luke and also on sky sport (twitter)comment from Luke Shaw says he is happy to stay at Southampton, despite reports linking him with Manchester United and Chelsea
Christ, this is going on a bit isn't it? Luke should have been tucked up in bed ages ago! Ha, amazing, just seen your comment above!
Surprised, thought it would be Sturridge. Still pisses me off, nothing really young about him anymore. Should be under 21's
Can't argue really, Hazard and Sturridge were ridiculously far ahead of all the other candidates. Agree with most people that they should make it an award for U21s or U20s or something, not established top quality players.
Hazards almost 24, that's what I don't understand about "Young" player of the year. 21 should be the cut off point.
There it is...Suarez wins. "The Premier League is full of really great players & so it is a great honour when these players recognise your work on the pitch", says Suarez. "Really this is for my teammates & the staff at Liverpool because without their help I wouldn't have this prize."
