That's his strike rate this season (and for Denmark over the last few). I know it's a small sample size but I'm not "playing a card". Small sample or not, it's ridiculous to say that his strike rate should be higher than it is currently. There are other criticisms which I accept, but not that one.

Arrrgh I'm gonna bite, wouldn't that make him the best striker in history? (apart from Leandre Griffit of course)

But for Denmark he's not playing against Chelsea, Liverpool and City every week.

Many strikers can score against Armenia and Turkey etc.

There is a reason Wenger doesn't start him if at all possible - it's because he's never fulfilled his potential, and never will. He is a laughing stock/embarrassment who we would be foolish to consider.

He would have played a lot more than he has were it not for injury. He's behind Giroud obviously but he's clearly more than a last resort.

I will pass on Bendtner, he wouldn't add anything to our team.

If its a choice between him and nobody to come on then I would have him. We are desperately in need of a striker, but he doesn't fit our profile.

Ignoring the bizarre Bendtner claims and the shock of him failing to score tonight despite his goal every 82 minutes statistic.

One of the best performances I saw in the u21s was from Redmond. Norwich may well get relegated this season and he is looking like a good premier league player already. Whether he can play narrower in the Saints style or has a strong enough defensive game was not clear on tonights evidence.

Josip Drmic scored twice for Switzerland against Croatia. He is having a good season for Nuremberg. He is 21 and took both goals well.

English side Southampton are monitoring Saphir Taider’s situation atInter, and could make a bid for the midfielder at the end of the season.
The 22 year old Algerian has been struggling to break into Walter Mazzarri’s starting eleven for a couple of months now, and Southampton could be willing to pounce for the tireless midfielder.
According to TalkSPORT, Southampton will approach both Inter and Bologna – the two sides he is co-owned by – to see if they can thrash out a deal to bring Taider to St Mary’s Stadium.
Southampton manager Mauricio Pocchettino is confident he can convince Taider to join his exciting project at the Saints.
Taider has made 21 appearances for Inter this season, but only twelve of those have been from the start.

I don't believe that one. Not a good fit.

Why would we need another midfielder? We have them coming out of our ears. Strikers, you know, those people who put the ball into the net. That's what we need.

Oh, and a pacey centre back. And Kasper Schmeichel.

Couldn't agree more. I posted earlier that i would us like to sign Adrian Ramos from Hertha and if we could sign someone like Valentine Stocker from FC Basel to play as a left winger or slip into LB should Shaw be unavailable (Provided he's still with us obviously). Basel apparently want 6m for him which doesnt seem unreasonable.

Also another CB, Yoshida proved adequate but hardly overwhelming during his spell recently and i think we could use another quality CB as cover/competition.
