Savage says "his position is untenable" - we should be so ****ing lucky!

This is absurd. I've decided - I'm throwing my hat in with Pards. It took something bizarre like this to unite us behind the ****.

Hang on if the F.A. fine Pardew I can't see how he could pay it all. He'll be turning up to matches in his pants and vest at this rate.

I'm satisfied with the way NUFC have handled it. Massive costly fine for the tit, a public rollicking, and a formal disciplinary warning. Unfortunately, that's the best the board have handled a situation in the last 2 years.

"It is most disappointing that this incident has taken the focus away from what was a fantastic performance by the team and an excellent result away from home which leaves the club in eighth place in the Premier League.
"Sadly the headlines will not be focused on the result or the efforts of the players, but instead on the actions of our manager."

That's a very deliberate choice of words, in my opinion. They have totally separated the victory from any part Pardew played. It was the players' "efforts"... Interesting.

People in other countries will be seeing these images no doubt, either by media or by the video going viral... What player would want to work for him??? Honestly?

I really don't think it will make all that much difference. After all some players still want to play for Sunderland, and have you seen their town? What a ****hole

<laugh> To be fair though, they all live in Newcastle and the surrounding areas!

Players coming into the Toon can't escape the bloody manager <laugh>

The local have a free raffle for 16 pints to attract people in to watch the Mackem game tomorrow.

I said, to hell with that I'm not watching them. But then I thought 16 pints would go a long way.

I think it shows us how much Ashley backs Pardew to be honest.

Could have sacked him for Gross Misconduct and wouldn't have had to pay him a penny. He's obviously pissed off with Pardew, hence the fine and formal warning.

The club have also acted quickly and firmly in order to try and reduce any FA punishment IMO.

In terms of the incident itself, it was ridiculous from Pardew and he really needs to clean up his act on the touch line. Another big touch line incident could see him gone after this warning.

Ridiculous that MOTD didn't discuss any of the goals in their "analysis".

I do think that given how he was in his post match interview that this has been a big, big wake up call for Pardew and one that he needed. I reckon he'll get a further (big) fine from the FA and a 6-8 game stadium (not touch line) ban.

He would have had to pay out in some form, it would get messy and more hassle than it was worth for Mike. He doesn't care enough for that.

Why sack a guy for "misconduct" when the owner waste no opportunity to bring that kind of shame on this club?

He'd have to find a replacement, negotiate probably higher wages than Pardew would take and waste his own time too.

The two will be laughing about it – I doubt even the £100k fine is real. Doomed PR attempt to stave off a heavier FA punishment that's all...

100K. What with that the gambling debt, he'll never escape Mikes clutches. At least he is doing a cracking job with us. Nice to see Gouff jump in for him too, shows he still has the dressing room despite all the rumours <laugh>

Sad when I read some of the comments here just how low our morals have descended, do any of you fools ever give thought to how low they will be for your children , or do you naively believe that they will stay at the present level. To those of you who actually support his act please do not complain if ever you are the victim of some low life with no moral conscience, after all they would only be getting down in the gutter with you

I'm with you. I don't have much respect for Alan Pardew but he is being absolutely slaughtered over a minor loss of temper. I think we should rally round him.

As for Savage, I nearly threw my radio out the window when I heard the self-righteous, hippy Welsh s***head dare to pontificate about the behaviour of someone else in football. The same bloke who, for a laugh, crapped in Graham Poll's toilet and didn't flush it (read Poll's autobiography).

Do please try to relax. By the way, how badly injured was Myler as a result of the 'headbutt'? I know who was more likely to injure a player on the day the way he was throwing himself around the pitch.

I just hope the ferocity of Pardew's headbutt hasn't scrambled his brain and results in a loss of tactical brilliance.
That bastard Meyler could have a lot to answer for.

Much ado about nothing.

it wasn't what I would call a head butt.
on a scale of 10 it was a 1
If some one head butted me like that i would rofl.

How the fk did sunderland beat a far superior team like newcastle the other week ?.

Good win for Newcastle.
Great support.

I also hope sunderland win the league cup today.
Then lose the fa cup 1/4 Final.
