Well he's used to building a team full of loans! Id be cautiously optimistic if we got him. At least wed be entertaining.
Why? What has he done throughout his who (short) management career that suggests he would and could do any better than HR ? From memory he left the last couple of posts after a season or so hasnt he? Genuine question
He is young, with modern ideas and likes to develop young players. He would be a breath of fresh air imo.
There are some fans at every Club when given the choice between winning ugly and losing attractively, they'll choose the latter. Obviously we'd all want to win attractively but if that's not on offer, some would go for good-looking losers. The question was put on here a while back whether people would choose a dogged Championship winning side in 75/76 or the attractive runners up we had. Many people chose the latter. I feel that's where the Zola support is coming from mate because you're right, he's not done an awful lot at West Ham or Watford other than play pretty football.
Well we've lost our last two and have been going backwards for some time. I now don't think automatic promotion is possible under Redknapp.
That may well all be true but ugly has got us into third. I wouldn't write off this season just yet. Toad Face got the Hammers up via the Playoffs two years ago playing disgusting football. The uglier the better in this league for me. We've seen now what "going for it" does for this team. An offensive 4-4-2 and we're ripped to shreds. Back to a horrible 4-5-1 and start nicking 1 nils again and I'd be the happiest man in the northern hemisphere Strolls.
Well having suffered it all season, Swords, I suppose I would take a few more one-nils to get us up. I just don't think Redknapp has it in him.
