Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
Not sure why. It has something to do with the 'local election' model they chose. In my experience, Scots living abroad tend to be more patriotic than those living here and would be more inclined to vote Yes given the opportunity (Celtic supporting, Dundee United fan George "I want independence for Palesteine, Ireland etc." Galloway being the obvious exception.)

I'd be a Yes if the ****s let me vote <wah>

I'll let my kids vote for me.

Every election, I let them vote on my behalf, my (then) 3yo voted for the Socialists in Colston Parish Church hall in the Scots elections back in 2003/4ish. 'twas the only time that I rabbit punched her.

I think the main policy that is giving me pause for thought is remaining part of Sterling. I'm not quite sure how that would work.

And retaining the Royal Family as head of state!

It's oor money tae.

We don't cede from the Union and let them take the UK's assets fur fuk all.

Every argument to and for is all based on hypothetical bullshit, give us the facks, gents, the facks!

There are no facts though, life is hypothetical - Chinese proverb

Neither side will give us the facts for fear we make a rational and informed decision.

I've got no problem with that. Means **** all anyway. Australia and Canada retain the monarchy don,t they?

And assuming we would be allowed European Membership automatically.

Am no bothered about that either. There are pros and cons of being in or out of Europe. Well still do business with them either way.

Let's face it, voting Aye will gie us a great excuse for one almighty piss up. It's got to be worth it for that alone.

Do they pay towards the upkeep of Balmoral etc? What would happen to land the royal family owns if Independence does come about?

I see it as purely figurative, as wot the Aussies do.

If they want us to pay for upkeep of their assets then fine, because it means we also own a share of those assets.
