They own it and will continue to do so unless the scotch are planning to confiscate property owned by non-scotch. Fat Salmond the next Mugabe?

Balmoral is owned by the Royals and they'll keep it.

Other lands owned by the Crown Estates Office are technically not owned by the monarch but by the Treasury.

They, I would assume, either continue to be operated by the CEO but, I suspect, as that contributes towards the UK Treasury, they would have to be given to a separate Scots CEO or to the Scottish Government.

Sorry, in an indy Scotland, we'll all get turns at owning Balmoral with an introductory offer of a free half hour up Princess Kate's poop chute.

Salmond should offer amazing odds for us to vote for independence. Then, allow under 18s to gamble as well. Encourage everyone to lump on yes and everybody gets a big windfall as they are voting for their bet to come up.

It's simple stuff. I'm still voting no though.

I'm only against it because it'll help the Tories out. I also think that the risk of it all going wrong for you lot hasn't been properly considered.

My main fear is that the lunatic left will take over (see ST's signature) and consign us to 50 years of debt and no growth.

I try to weigh up the pro's and con's, I'm naturally drawn to keeping the Status Quo because, as it stands, the UK is still a world power, albeit a shadow of 100 years ago, but nevertheless, as part of the UK, the Scotch have an opportunity to make a difference on the world stage and dine the top table.

Then I look at how Londoncentric the UK's economic policy is and how poorly Scotland has faired economically compared to London and the SE, and think to myself "imagine the Jocks elected a government that looked after Scotchland's interests and were more interested in economic growth and prosperity" as opposed the race to the bottom proposed by the loony left.

So I'm undecided, but I want the best of both worlds so I hope that greater autonomy for Scotland (and all regions in the UK) will lead to greater competition between UK regions and propel this nation to RECLAIM ITS EMPIRE!!

I'm quite a boring cyclist, truth be told (although I don't wear a helmet so I suppose I'm a bit of a rebel!)

As Ive said before, I love Scotland and only moved to Australia to get away from Ireland. However if Scotland votes yes to independence I would consider moving back on the proviso we had a North/South Korea style relationship with the blarney brothers... or launched a pre-emptive nuclear strike on them. I would continue to consider Nigelshire as a buffer zone between our great nation and Taffy-land and hopefully an uneasy truce can be maintained until the opportunity arises to shaft them in a totally snidey style
( what goes around comes around - you morris-dancers should appreciate that ). After that we tow wales out into the atlantic and use it for target practice, having first carefully sealed off its borders.

I dont like Salmond, but he is our means to these ends.

You should always wear a helmet, especially if you cycle on a road. In saying that, you live in Edinburgh which is essentially a massive farm so doubt that you'll use roads very often.
