Ah good. Thanks FLT. He came to our Uni in Canterbury once and gave a lecture. This was before he became a mainstream environment expert presenter for the Beeb. I think it was one of the few times every student left the lecture theatre buzzing with enthusiasm. It was a couple of years after I left that I realised I turned down Plymouth for Canterbury.

And what was my reason, you may ask..?

Wife texts husband on a cold winter's morning:
    "Windows frozen, won't open."

    Husband texts back:
"Gently pour some lukewarm water over it."

Wife texts back five minutes later:
    "Computer really buggered now."

PL, I really do think you should be done with the charade and finally come out.

    As a Saints fan.

You know it's there, broiling away in your blood. You're accepted here, so just do it. Make the move.

It's been scientifically proven that more Saints fans 'get the girl' than Pompey too.......

I remember on the old 606 (I think) someone posted a study that showed Saints fans were the most likely to choose sex with their partner over watching their team play. There are two ways you can look at that, but I choose the positive way.

Well, the first of those proposed fission power stations is to start generating electricity around 2023 I believe. If progress is as good as it is purported to be [and I have followed this for some time] I'd say domestic LENR power plants will be available well before then. End of need for nuclear power stations. Waste of money.

Look, I've been searching on this for hours, and I've yet to find a single peer-reviewed article about LENR. To me, that is a giant flashing neon sign saying "THIS IS BOLLOCKS"

It isn't I promise you. At the very least it is worth an open mind. LENR is a form of cold fusion using different elements, but it automatically gets a bad press from the days of Pons and Fleischmann, who were urged to publish years before they were ready. However, these days there are several big companies around the world who are doing research into product, not theory anymore. The process is now becoming accepted as working. If there is secrecy it is due to the process being economic dynamite. It is a game changer, as you will appreciate.

If I get a moment, I'll see if I can PM you a couple of decent articles.

    I'm calling bollocks as well.

We are talking about a technology that would completely revolutionise the energy needs of the human race, and nobody will fund research into it? Either it's the biggest and most shameful coverup to protect other interests (unlikely) or it's science based on wishful thinking (likely). It reminds me of alchemy.
