Pssssh, wish they'd pick slightly more convenient venues. Yesterday's match was at Alresford and I ended up missing the bus from Winchester Bus Station after running from Winchester Railway Station so I ended up having an impromptu day in Winchester....

Look, if you find it hard to make the switch to Saints straight away [who will always appreciate your devotion if you do switch], how about starting with Eastleigh Spitfires..? Tight little ground. Nice little team. Almost certain to be league material in a couple of seasons if present progress is kept up [or so when I last looked].

No, that's harsh. But wind turbine energy production on a national grid scale was the wrong way to go, in my opinion. What should happen is that everyone, who can benefit, should be issued with a domestic version for very little cost. Small wind turbines are remarkably maintenance free and nearly always supply at least a tick over of electricity. Much more in the colder months, but they are an interim technology all the same. Then again, how about never having to pay for the heating of hot water..?

For example, the next time you go on holiday to the southern Mediterranean, you may notice all the silver tanks, turbines, etc... on the flat or shallow inclined roofs. Free hot water, and whatever else is left over is reduced cost electricity. We don't do enough of that on a domestic scale in this country, and we are not encouraged to either.

Sorry if posted before. Ian Thorpe in rehab after being found disorientated on a cocktail of drugs. Reportedly has a history of depression and mental problems and a difficulty with coping with life outside of swimming. None of us ever know about other people's lives.

This is the way to go for me, invented in Norway. Osmotic power generation is completely sustainable, infinitely renewable, and causes zero pollution. And it works:

Well, they haven't really shown any appreciation (still miffed about the Christmas party snub) although the media officer did say that the club appreciates what I do in a DM on Twitter, but actions speak louder than words. But I'm gonna ask them if they can give me a lift on the Pompey bus. It'll be much quicker and cheaper, and pressumably they'll be going through Southampton so could pick me up from Southampton Central (or maybe Totton at a stretch).

As for Eastleigh, they seem like a decent side and I thoroughly enjoyed the game I went to despite Farnborough losing but it is a pedestrian death trap as people in Eastleigh apparently haven't heard of pavements. But they did let me select Boys of Summer by Don Henley to play over the tannoy which was epic!

FWIW I studied Geography at Plymouth Uni. Thought it was fantastic! Lots of interesting modules to chose from. Fieldtrips, and really good lecturers (for the most part). Also, Prof Iain Stewart was one of my lecturers in third year. Taught the 'Geohazards lectures', he has a great passion for his subject and for teaching and is involved with getting kids interested in Geography from a young age and regularly visits schools etc. Really nice guy too. My favourite lecturer however was Prof Gerd Masselink who taught the Coastal Environments lectures in my second year which sparked such an interest from me that I've taken up a relevant career.
