Trying to decide on three unis for PCGEs.... Currently it seems to be Birmingham, Southampton and A.N. Other. What does the collective wisdom of this board think?

Southampton Uni is world renowned, but it actually depends on the subject matter. If you're studying LENR or Cold Nuclear Fusion, as it used to be called, you couldn't go to a better place. Actually, Cold Nuclear Fusion appears to be the science to be in recently, as major developments have been happening over the last few years. Those Nuclear Fission Power Stations that Cameron appears determined to build will almost certainly be obsolete even before the first spade hits the ground.

No they won't. Commercially viable fusion is miles off.

Carlos Vela has told the Mexican FA he is not available for selection for the World Cup. Big blow for Mexico.

Well.... In my case, it'll be geography. Southampton also has the advantage of being near the sea! :D

I would say nuclear fission is probably the best overall form of power generation that we currently have, although it is far from ideal.

Try Plymouth University. Wish I'd gone there instead of Kent. Incidentally, Professor Iain Stewart works there. If that doesn't ring a bell, it's this bloke. Good communicator:
