Just did a wee search on the BBC Sport website. Found it buried in More Sports - American Football. 43-8 the final score.

Thing is, what's happened to American Football coverage in this country..? Have the mainstream given it enough exposure and finally decided that's it..? I was fairly keen on it back in the mid 1980's, but my interest waned soon enough, simply because there was no emotional connection. All through recent years though, I've seen the media promoting it over here, but this year very little indeed. So little that I've seen nothing of it at all, and I look at sports pages frequently. Have I just been tuning in at the wrong times or has the sport left mainstream [I mean terrestrial, not SKY] TV..?

Depends really. Some celebs take drugs because they have nothing else to do. Were as some do it because of they may have a mental illness they are covering up.

Heath Ledger died of a overdose because he felt trapped with his sever depression.

You can't judge all overdose victims the same.

Yeh. I'm with you on that. Very hard to know all the circumstances. I feel for his kids. Apparently he'd been clean for 23 years, something must have happened.

Channel 4 have a lot of games on, they are usually on around 1am.

Yep depression sadly is still seen by many as a weakness. Far too many people still believe mental illness is a made up problem(like my ex doctor he lost his job for saying depression wasn't real).

Its popularity is growing quite rapidly. Sold out two games at Wembley last season, one which was between two not very good teams and one which was between one very good team and one awful team, so not exactly the most appetising games. They're bringing three over next year. This year, they brought out a highlights show on Saturday mornings on Channel 4, and advertised it in places from bus stops and bar mats. There are several live games a week too, on C4, Sky and Eurosport - BBC had it last year. Its popularity is growing very quickly, as is its exposure.
 
And there could be a English NFL team soon. (Or Franchise as they call it)

Would I get abused if I said that Colin Murray does a decent job on it? If so then I am happy to withdraw and slag him off...

Is it not Vernon Kay and Nat Coombs, then Mike Carlson on the live shows? Colin Murray was on last night and got on my tits.

Yeah, pretty much same here. Slightly disappointed to read that it hasn't disappeared back across The Pond.

Thing is, has tiddlywinks been getting the attention it deserves too..? Big sport on QI, is tiddlywinks. Comedian Dave Gorman knows Tiddles from his Winks, that's for sure.
 
Come on then TSS, let us in on your secret - why do you hate everything to do with America so much? Have you had a bad experience with them?

I miss Colin Murray on MOTD2/3. Mark Chapman is OK, but Murray always had that gleam in the eye that something edgy was going to be tackled next. Plus, when the pundits wanted to gloss over to the next big team, he'd often activate the talk about Saints, which is all good. Chapman just goes with it.
