Or, just as likely, Vincent says to his mates I know a football club that may be going cheap, just wait till the end of the season and see how desperate he is to sell. By the way there's very little external debt it will be just negotiating how much of his loans he's prepared to write off.

That's what I thought but Patrick Collins is a very well respected sports writer - I'd be surprised he'd make such a mistake.....
As much as I hate the idea of our name change I think the decision should be made sooner rather than later. At least we know where we stand then. If the actions from CTWD and other opposing fans hasn't done anything to sway the FA's decision then I doubt very much that a further 3 months will do anything.
O I put forward that building a brand on a team known as "The Tigers" was far stronger. Hull City "The Tigers". With Hull City as the playing name and a big concentration as "The Tigers". But it was rejected by members of CTWD who stated that AFC had to remain. I still believe that if the application for a ladies team had not been made, we could have saved Hull City with a compromise about the dropping of AFC. Mind you the club will more than likely go to a middle eastern owner rather than Far East. Which is a lot better than any Nigerian owning the club. (Do your homework before calling me racist)
We've always stated that the fact that we can already be marketed as The Tigers, made the name change absolutely unnecessary, that remains the case.
The FA haven't yet consulted with all the parties concerned, they're obviously not going to vote until they have done so.
That's a complete red herring, our formal name is Hull City AFC, it's the name that would appear on the Champions League trophy once we win it, but it's not normally used, nor is anyone proposing that it should be. It's our Sunday best name and is merely used as a distraction,it was never used as our playing name.
Just gave you a follow mate. I'm in the same boat. Yesterday was the first time I didn't join in singing "City til I die" because I'm feeling increasingly alienated by the group.
Every club is AFC, yet there are only us, Sunderland and Swansea (in the PL) that have it on their club crest/ badges and only AFC Bournemouth, AFC Wimbledon and Newport County in the football league. Why is the AFC so important when there are only 6 out of the 92 clubs have it on their crest? It's not tradition or heritage as everyone else has dropped it, if it was that important the FA would insist that they needed to show it on their crest as they're members of the FA, therefore, if the FA aren't bothered what difference will it make?
You seem to be over complicating things for the sake of it. CTWD campaign says "no to hull Tigers." That's it. If you'd rather be Hull City, the campaign speaks for you because that's all it says.
The AFC is irrelevant. Its is our registered name only. Our playing name is Hull City, not Hull City AFC. We are already Hull City. The application is to change the playing name from Hull City to Hull Tigers. Its a shame but a simple fact. Assem Allam has applied to make our playing name longer not shorter.
Stan Collymore expressed it perfectly. The importance of AFC is to distinguish ourselves in a predominantly Rugby City. Hull FC is Rugby, Hull City AFC is football. It's the Association Football Club that differentiates ourselves. Although I agree with Stan, I would probably compromise and drop the AFC. I have never said Hull City AFC when I was asked who I support, It's always been Hull City.
