...and looking at the opposite end of that position, the pro-name change group speaks for one person and has a group membership of zero.
I'm not sure if this is new or not but when i tried to go to HullCityAfC website it re directed me to HullCityTigers. Is it new?
The Premier League want a season ticket holder vote, CTWD back that proposal 100%, the club don't. The FA may force them to have one, at which point I suspect you'll go very quiet.
lol what you basing that on? Wishful thinking? I'd like to think if the FA back Dr Allam, you lot will go quiet but I suspect you won't either. Have you got the "FA are spineless" type press release ready yet? Who cares what CTWD back? You haven't even reached 5% of the noisy lot yet. The FA will make their decision based on many other factors, the least of which will be your input.
I want a full vote, so we actually see the number of fans who are against the name change, don't you want the same?
I actually wanted CTWD to make it clear that members would classified into season ticket holders and well wishers and told you so at the time. You didnt want to do that. Why not?
I wouldnt complain about that happening. But dont dodge the question. Why didnt you have the confidence to make it for season pass holders.
I didn't dodge the question, we don't care if our members are season ticket holders or not, it's not something we even considered when we set the membership up. A season ticket holder vote is the only true reflection of the opinion of all season ticket holders, so that's what we want to see.
I'd happily accept a season ticket only vote. I'm not about to make it a condition though of my support, and yes, I do believe the "No" vote would be in the minority still. Even if that was the single basis for CTWD, which it obviously isn't, I don't think you'd have any more supporters than you do now. I believe Dr Allam knows what he's doing. I also think when he's proven right, and when he unveils his plan, and its clearly the best thing for us, CTWD will still be campaigning against him, oh and denying that's what they're doing of course. When can we expect an announcement of CTWD's (or whatever the supporters trust will be called) alternative business plan, and the revealing of your backers?
There is no pro name group. It's those who are dead set against the name change......the minority Against those who aren't that bothered.......the majority.
It's interesting how the few people that claim to be the apathetic majority consistently comment in favour of the change, but offer no evidence to support the position.
The supporters trust is a long term aim, it's quite some way off, we have a lot of homework and legals to sort before we announce anything, so don't hold your breath. Actually, do. Any season ticket vote will go our way, just as every other vote has.
A season ticket holder CTWD would have been the only credible protest movement. You werent confident enough to go for this. Now you latch on to any passing protest, thanks for CTWD's condescending blog on Cardiff's situation, safe standing, talks with the council behind Allams back, Support for the City of Culture, long term aim to own the whole club, but only a 20% stake at the moment. Quite a lot for a one issue campaign.
It has nothing to do with confidence ffs, we didn't even consider it. The sooner the season ticket holder vote is conducted, the sooner all this nonsense will be put to bed.
I have never said I even like the name change . I would rather we didn't change the name. But I'm not that bothered if we do...I think that's the majority's view. Hull City ....Hull Tigers I will still go to. Home games .....what ever league we are in....
Chances are as a pass holder I would vote no to the name change.... One of the junior tigers would vote no as well The second junior tiger would vote yes to the name change . It's just not such a big deal to me if happens though.
Of course there are many fans who will support the team whatever they are called, but the vast majority would prefer the team and club to remain as Hull City. For those who are happy for the club to be called whatever the owner wants, if it was shown that a name change would have a detrimental effect on club finances would they support the change?
