The HDM are far more supportive of AA, than they are of CTWD, the Mark Fewings article published yesterday was inaccurate and almost gushing.

Though we do seem to have Phil Buckingham on our side.

I've said it before on here, we could learn something from the eggchasers promotional methods. Before their season starts we are bombarded with radio ads for season tickets. Durong the season we are bombarded with radio ads promoting tickets for the next game. Simple marketing strategies that we could adopt.

Also, I was in a chain sports store in hull city centre amd it was filled with man u, liverpool, tottenham etc replica shirts. But no hull shirts. Again, are we missing a trick here?

They do a far better job of of engaging the wider community, they bombard potential customers with advertising, while we tell ours we can die if we want and get tickets refunded while we're at it. <doh>

Hull Tigers is fine by me, and anyone who thinks risking the club for the sake of the word City is rational, is deluded or has a hidden agenda.

Seems a common problem for anyone associated with football in Hull doesn't it? Even CTWD can't get as many members that live in Hull as can respond to a HDM poll. That's NOT a dig at you btw before anyone gets all precious, but even I was slightly surprised to see you don't have at least 8-10k paying 2 quid to join. Even 5k would be something.

I've no idea why, seems very strange.

    Apathy rules.

The membership is only in it's infancy, it's only been available for a couple of weeks, the petition has been going for months and is over 12,000 now, so there's plenty of room for growth. I expect our membership to exceed that of the OSC shortly and that's been going for over ten years.

There was no thinking, that's the problem, it was a ridiculous thing to say.

Who says I don't go to matches? And you should know that bringing peoples family into posts is not always a good thing.

    Hull Tigers = success.

    Hull City = Failure.

    That's your thinking eh?

As we're already Hull City in the Premier League, I think your thinking is somewhat flawed.

Yeah I get that OLM, but why? Why is it so hard in general to get people interested in Hull Football stuff? We do ok attendance wise, its just all the other stuff that seems too much effort. I don't get it. I hate the phrase but its almost like Hull is a rugby town.

Dr Allam has already admitted he is clueless when it comes to football.

Yes it was if he had said it. I suspect that the reporter twisted what Allam actually said. But as non of us where present during the interview we only have his word for it.

Don't worry, the nobcheese is confusing me and you TT. I don't go to games in December, too much stuff going on in our house for me to get away, and considering how much I spend the rest of the year, and the general expense of December for us, it doesn't bother me.

    Just laugh at him.

No in or of itself, no. The name change, in my opinion, will make no direct difference. But if the name change brings in extra revenue, even if that is from Allam, and that improves the team, then yes, indirectly, that would potentially increase attendances. Especially if ultimately it leads to an increase in ground capacity.
