Watched Benzema again tonight, and he was ****ing awful. Arsene needs to work miracles with him, if we do indeed buy him.
Players turn to garbage at Madrid these days, it's the Ronaldo show at the moment. Ozil wasn't playing too well near the end of his career there either.
Many a player has been destroyed coming to Real Madrid. Wenger would do the business with him. Just thinking about the recent players to have left Real Madrid, makes you think they don't have a ****ing clue. Robbins, Sneijder, Ozil, Higuain...
Benzema even at his "best" has always looked like a lazy, uninterested player to me. I think he makes Adebayor look like a workhorse (and he's far less capable than Adebayor was at his best). I said before that he'd be far from my first choice. Not saying he wouldn't get games at Arsenal, but almost certain not worth the money needed to transfer him.
Still not seen anything to persuade me that we should buy Benzema, or that he'd be an upgrade on Giroud. Llorente in the Jan window on loan anybody ? http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/516212/20131023/llorente-arsenal-loan-juventus-striker-wenger.htm
Or break the bank for Diego Costa. Has been utterly brilliant this season and is top scorer in La Liga ahead of Ronaldo and Messi.
Remember that AW is a genius at getting the best out of players, probably much to do with his psychology qualifications he understands what makes players tick. I don't have a view on Benzema, he may be world class he may fall short, but Madrid signed a massive cheque for his services and he's represented his country 60 odd times, so a few rate him. If anyone can get him playing at the level of his ability AW can...
Let's get Lewdanski, offer him a contract of 250k a week, and it's a done deal, he'll be saying how it was always his 'dream' to sign for Arsenal. That's big money, but we'd get him on a free, and with that huge wages, it'd basically make up for not spending transfer money. And you also have to think of it as investment to get money, with Lewdanski, you can insure lot's of shirt sales, asses in the seats to come to the Emirates to watch, and trophies which all leads to big $$$. Let's do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lewdanski after he signs for us: "For me this is a big moment both professionally and personally. Arsenal is one of the best clubs in the world, with players like Ozil, Giroud, Ramsey, and Wenger as the coach of this team. Also don't forget I am team-mates with Shezza, who is a good personal friend of mine. So this for me is a dream come true to be part of a great squad. Arsenal and Wenger showed great interest and trust in me, as soon as I talked with Wenger, I knew I had to go to Arsenal, there was no other option for me, as I said, it's really like a dream come true for me."
