The CB to DM switch isn't a big leap to make, plenty of players have done it. But like Bear says I just don't think Wenger likes to play with an out and out DM anymore, although we did make a bid for Lars Bender in the summer, but I guess he is more of a Flamini type player than a holding midfielder

With both Flamini and Arteta in the DMF role, TV isn't going to even be able to become a regular starter in that position, heck he faces more competition as well. He just needs to be patient, we only have 2 main CB's, so the chances of eventually getting to play are quite high as it's only one player who eventually has to drop out due to injury or whatever, and eventually it's going to happen. Not just injuries, with so many games coming up to play, especially after the next international break, there is going to be some rotation so again there will be more opportunities to play.

TV's got to be sensible, at the moment the partnership of Kos-Mert is solid and doing a great job, so he can't just expect to come in and replace one of them just for the sake of it. He has to do what's best for the team.

Agreed. Vermaelen will get his chance at CB, he just needs to be patient, work hard and try and play his way into the team.

Agreed. He needs to be realistic and wait for his chance. Arsenal are on the up and leaving in Jan would be career suicide. With us factoring in quite a few tournys over a long season with only 3 proper CBs, injuries may occur as will drops in form. So his chances will come, he just needs to grab the opportunity should it arise.

Actually he moved the other way. He was a left/centre midfielder at Monaco. He never played that much at CB.

I still think we need to sign another top quality defensive player. We missed Flamini on Saturday and Arteta is not a DMF. I'd like to see us go all out to try and sign Lars Bender or Arturo Vidal in January.

As much as I would love to see Lard Bender at Arsenal I dont think we NEED anymore midfielders.

If we are to spend I would prefer it was at CF.

Agreed with the Bear, a top class CF should be the priority, especially if Bendy doesn't make a good enough comeback. We don't want to burn Giroud out as he has a lot of football to play, including Internationals.

My priority would be a forward that is comfortable both as a winger and upfront, but I'd settle for a winger.

We can use Podolski as a backup striker, but I would stick to Giroud as first choice.

    Both would be ideal.

I still think we need some defensive MF cover. Flamini has been a revelation, but as demonstrated against Norwich we missed the defensive cover when he went off.

    M'Vila is another Balotelli.

Could be an absolute beast but he's a complete idiot and chances are he's going to **** up his career.

I would take Lars Bender instead.

Shame we missed out on Gustavo.

Lets just continue with the German theme and Get Bender, Reus whos has release clause of 30mn (would love him at Arsenal but will he go) and top it all off with Papadoupolus from Shalke. Do this over the next 2 transfer windows and we have an amazing and complete squad.
