Sounds like the Mail have realised the attempts to derail us by erroneous reporting regarding loans etc has failed to stop out momentum so have decided to try and unsettle individual players instead by making up rumours.

They just brought Soldado and why replace Defoe on the bench, a proven goalscorer in prem, with an unproven one? Doesn't make any sense and I would suggest they are a long way off our valuation of a player with 3 years on his contract and in top form.

ditto!

We cannot afford to sell because:

1. He is our main goal scorer
2,.We have to keep up the required quota of British players.

Anyway Spurs fans wouldn't want to buy a Championship striker with their millions from the Bale transfer...

With the rumoured size of that particular transfer, I'd hope at the very least that the Pozzos would hold out for a third of it minimum - if they decided to sell.

Not that I'm saying he's worth that much - just that Bale isn't worth the figures being bandied around either so why settle for less... ;)

I would not think he was up to that standard... and if they want him then the price from our side would have to be high

Deeney to Spurs being a bit more widely reported this morning, but still think its the usual press rubbish. I really dont want to lose TD at any price, if only because we have just named our new Guinea Pigs Zola and Deeney.

I see that Leeds are interested in Udinese's Gabriel Torje - I wonder if they thought they'd get him for nothing? <laugh> Marko will be spitting chips if they have to pay the 7 million Euros asking price....

Sky Sports: Watford are lining up a loan move for Tottenham midfielder Tom Carroll. #watfordfc

Do we really need him?

Would be harsh to drop one of Abdi or McGugan and actually it could upset in a way seeing a Premier league loan player just come in and take their place whilst they are doing well.

Even better if he transfers to us first on an 'undisclosed' fee for us to then sell him for £5m to them!
