I'd be Glad All Over if Guedioura comes back. Mariappa hasn't impressed much since being away, apparently.... hopefully if he returns it will signal a return to form.
Guedioura is obviously class, Mariappa is a quality Championship defender which we need, but not good enough for the Premier League, I'm afraid.
Soccer Sauce @soccer_sauce 45m45 minutes ago Sheffield Wednesday and Watford look like they will be very busy today.Lots of info flooding into us this morning #SWFC #watfordfc Bugger - I'm back to work today & won't find any news until this evening...
I have a day off today - which is always a good thing. Even more so on Day of the Deadline. So I am up late tonight to catch some early rumours and will be glued to Five Live, TalkSport and the Interweb tomorrow (despite promising Ms. Saxet that I would have a load of chores done).
We are also in for Liam Moore from Leicester - throw the balls up and whichever lands first we sign I guess as we are also in talks with Norwich about Bassong. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/T...ake-approach/story-25960319-detail/story.html
Have heard the Moore rumour a few times. Huth has just gone to Leicester on loan, so maybe something to it.
The approach for Liam Moore seems to have hit the buffers. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...urn_down_Watford_s_second_approach_for_Moore/
Watford have rejected bids from Hull City and West Brom for their striker Odion Ighalo, according to Sky sources. The Hornets reportedly turned down two recent offers which were understood to be around £5m. It has also been suggested that Watford would accept £6m for the 25-year-old Nigerian forward. Ighalo, who moved to Vicarage Road from Italian club Udinese last July, has scored 11 goals this season including eight since Christmas.
It has also been suggested that Watford would accept £6m for the 25-year-old Nigerian forward. The Watford Observer understands the Hornets will not consider any offers for Odion Ighalo during the January transfer window despite a report claiming bids of £6m would be accepted.
Apparently Luca Antonini of Genoa has rejected a move here.. Not sure if that's good or bad. Alex Jakubiak staying with Dagenham for the rest of the season.
Although the Emperors Tiberius and Caligula have indicated on their Twitter pages that they're in advanced talks with us. We may need them if we get many more refs like Probert.
Keith Andrews has signed for Franchise FC after they sell their star player to The Spuds. Not one of our better signings.
Not too fussed we didn't bring in anyone yesterday - we've done some decent business in January, bringing in Layun, Watson and the CB, plus getting rid of Andrews, McGugan and Dyer. The loan window reopens next week so imagine we will bring in the CB and CM needed once other teams reassess their squads. Palace brought in 7, including a few midfielders, so maybe Guediora will become available again
http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/newcastle-united-eye-move-for-prolific-watford-striker/? Is there another transfer window this season? If not, why the hell do 'journalists' bug us with this sort of article?
