Not flashy - reminds me of jonathan hogg. Doesn't excite supporters, but keeps the team moving, and mops up well. What Andrews was for ? We probably need that. Separately, has Tamas been given the (mutually agreed) heave-ho to allow another (UK?) CB or is it saving wages ?
Agree entirely. Our biggest issue is we have a softness about us. Jonathan Hogg used to do a job in the middle of the park where he got his foot in and then got the play going, leaving the creative side to others, e.g. Abdi No doubt we have the talented players in the side, but this softness is hurting us. If you look at players like Spearing and compare to the more gifted players such as Abdi, Toszer, Munari etc it is really missing the point the role he would do and why we need a player like that. I am not saying he is a great player, just that we are missing the combative player who breaks up play, gets stuck in, and gets play going. Like Hogg used to. Very underrated role, and unnoticed role.
Well at least Slav might like this loan player from Bolton. Good player TBF and like a shoot. And he's English!
Do agree about the role and we are missing someone who does that and think Tozser (or Munari) could do with someone like that playing alongside them. I think we are very short in the deeper CM role. Just questioning why Lennon doesn't rate him enough to play in a struggling Bolton team. I know the name but can't say I've seen enough of the player to rate him or not As for Tamas... would assume we just want to free up space/wages to bring a CB in. Would say we are short there, especially a commanding CB. Not sure if it would be permanent though.
If we really want this goalkeeper and the competition is Leeds United we should get him, unless money is the reason... As an Italian would you want to live in a north English town with a lot of wild countryside or in a southern town very near London, with tidy countryside?
we have been missing this type of player that will put the foot in and break up play hen needed ( he was there captain )
Tidy countryside?? I think I've been away too long as none of that features large in my memory bank...
Apparently Whippendell Woods are the last remaining example of Anglo-Saxon woodland in Southern Britain .
so what do they want to use the countryside for ? fishing shooting or golf and herts is ok for all of them
Probably lazy journalism linking him to us (well it is the Mail), but talk of Chalobah coming back; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...pswich-enter-loan-chase-Chelsea-defender.html We didn't last year as Chelsea wanted too much of his wage paid, so Is that likely to change now? Getting a few off the wage bill may free up wages, and would suggest we do need another CM, and is home grown.
He was exceptional 2 years ago in midfield with Hogg and Abdi. Seemingly he has not done much since at Forest or Boro. I do wonder, if like Vydra, whether he can reach those heights again.
I suspect not. When he came back last season with Forest he was poor and went out of his way to get FF booked. Not for me thanks. Move on...
I watched him when he played for Forest and he was a spectator as the ball was constantly played over his head from defence straight up to the forwards. I think he was exceptional two years ago with his quick feet and eye for a pass, but what has happened since he was rewarded with his big fat contract I don't know. We were told he was too expensive for us, so would be surprised to see him rejoin us this season.
Chalobah on his way to Reading according to Twitter. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/11737323._/? Watford looking to sign three more players during January - two midfielders & a centre back. http://bwinbetting.com/internationa...tlist-striker-nets-watford-shines,66256.html? suggests that the centre back may be Molla Wague, currently on loan at Udinese from Granada - and playing for Mali in the African Nations Cup
Ben Watson has been linked - good player but a bit injury prone. Ben Watson has been linked - good player but a bit injury prone.
