Some more nonsense from the Rumours site....
Finnbogason is a smoke screen - Cardiff are going in for Marvin Sordell and Troy Deeney as Malky knows both of them well. Finnbogason is also wanted by Tottenham and Newcastle and there is no guarantee he will choose the Welsh side over longer established Premiership sides.
Nicky Maynard will be loaned to Bolton as recompense and Watford will fill Deeney's void by signing Italy striker Alberto Gilardino who knows Gianfranco Zola very well.
And...
Watford's Troy Deeney has been told to think over offers in the coming days and decide if he wants to move, if not GFZ expecting him to get on with the job in hand. Several lower ranked Premier League clubs interested with bids between 7-9 million. Watford have contingency plans in place should he decide to go.

Haven't Cardiff just brought in a striker for 7 million and there is no way Malky would go for Sordell!
Would be nice.... highly unlikely, but a nice option to have. Would help the rotation, I thought it was a minor miracle that he played so well for so long for someone so young last season.

I think that would only happen if TD went, and it doesn't really fit the Pozzo model of buying low, does it?
We are hearing that Newcastle are weighing up a move for Watford goalkeeper Jonathan Bond as they search for a No.3 keeper before the close of the transfer window. SSN
Remember we'll want to keep the likes of Bond and Deeney to ensure we stick with the UK player quota.
But we have Gary Woods training with us, and he would be a better option as a second choice keeper if Bond were to leave or be loaned out IMO. With the loan window opening so soon it would be easy to give him a 6mth loan deal.
I am not sure he is still at the club as we took the Under 18s goalie up to Blackpool as cover I heard.

He was at the club last week, but I guess it is possible he has left.
We presumably took Dan Wilks simply to give him the experience of going on an away day. We dont usually take a third keeper away with us, its usually Luke O'Nien who is youngest.
