Like WY (i think) said, i'm guessing you are a Utd fan that has only known Fergie. If you have never known of a change in manager its not surprising you don't know the effect it can have

Funny that. Everyones claiming Chelsea and City will be a bigger threat because they have changed their managers...

Wasn't me but i'll take the credit, wise words.

The difference being they didn't have the best manager in the league before <doh>

They have significantly improved on last year's managers though, your club have done the reverse.

He said ta change of manager can have an effect.

Nothing about improving managers.

When was th last time a club as wekll run as United changed its manager. the rest are circus'. Madrid, chelsea, City....

Barcelona changed their manager and romped La Liga. CL didnt work out so well but cant blame the manager for that really.

just a reminder... "Tottenham in the Summer Transfer Window - 2013 edition"

<ok>

if Brendan Rodgers or Steve Clarke took over at Barca how does everyone think they would get on next season? Better or worse?

No bid from us, by all accounts, so it appears that Benteke might have been pulling a Rooney.

apparently we had until yesterday or today to meet their valuation, as they wanted to get on with their preseason. I heard we were looking to pay more like 18-20 upfront, and not the 25 they wanted. Either no bid has gone in and it was all total bullshit, or Villa have stuck 2 fingers up to DL's negotiation tactics and stuck to their word.

Fair play to Villa if that's the case. They've done well to keep Benteke, especially after handing in a transfer request.

who the hell are we going to sign?

Seriously, I suggested that Bale might end up becoming a striker, and I can seriously see it happening. Eriksen in to replace Bale, and I wouldn't be too upset.
This striker situation is horrendous. I'm absolutely sick of it. No doubt tomorrow the headlines will be "spurs in for Damiao" <doh>
