I'm not too sure, some believe as low as only £2mil but I think it was more around the £3mil<ok>

As they, just testing the waters <laugh>

They have to face the fact that they're going to have to take an offer sooner or later, unless he signs a new contract. Will be interesting to see what comes of this...

Do you know if you're after both Hooper and Austin?

We're after Hooper, Austin and Mboyo.

Austin is gaining momentum, Hooper is slower and Mboyo just seems to stay around. Probably the fall-back option should one (or both) of the other forwards don't come.

If you get 2 of those, you will have a tidy strike force I must admit. Personally I along with many other Norwich fans were not happy with the supposed link with mboyo but our CEO soon rubbished those reports. As I say, this Hooper story has gone on for a long time now and will be interesting to see what happens. All I do know is that Hooper has gone with the squad to Germany on their training camp so it seems as if nothing is close regarding him <ok>

Hooper all day for me. He is the complete forward, it'd still be happy with Austin though, they both know where the back of the net is. I think it will be Austin out the two.

    Latest from the Snooker club:

We've put in a bid for Peter Ebdon and Sheffield have accepted it. Tickles is on his way to pick him up from Hull Paragon & the HDM have asked him for an exclusive over the videophone on the way back.

We're also talking to Man U about getting a FAT Rooney

Having watched the serious rumour squads gather momentum since the last day of the season, my money has and always has been on Austin, Hooper at 31 seems like he may have a couple of good years left in him, but definitely a big step up playing regular in the Premier League, Austin few years younger and still time to improve, a good sized unit who puts it about a bit, no brainer for me. I have a sneaky suspicion that Aluko will be the second striker, gotta say wets my appetite putting him and a good big `un together (aka Austin).

    Hooper is 26, I'd say he's still pretty young. I think you're thinking of Holt, who's 31.

Only that he just went on and on (in his knowledgeable way); argued with OLM; didn't need to read the papers; in fact KNEW IT ALL!

And then - when it came out that Hooper was likely for Norwich - appeared to do a U-turn, on his beliefs/what he'd said/value & worth of Hooper/ etc.

(Read some of the Hooper/Austin threads (2 of) and see).
