Should have happened years ago.

I moved to Brough over 16 years ago and found a larger Hull City following, even back then, than I'd come across actually in Hull itself. That's not to say that's the case these days but there is an even bigger Brough contingent of fans now-a-days as well.

Also seems to be much lower % of egg-chasers in the outer lying villages - it would seem to me at least, but I guess that could apply to Hull as well.

That backward that the Council had the foresight to build the bleeding KC in the first place. Can't see Parnaby and his cronies having the money to help fund a stadium in the East Riding - they may however go as far as supporting a site for planning so long as its not in the built up area and likely to offend his voters.

The plans for Melton had a proposed 'halt', similar to that at Boothferry.

Assem's been very clever here, he's started off looking the vilain, then has rapidly become the saint. He's made the likes of Brady and Geraghty look like imbeciles(not that it was difficult) and now the agenda has grown to cover who pays what and how **** the council are.

I still doubt he stadium will move, but I have no doubt that a major stadium, with a hotel and retail, just five miles out of Hull would receive a massive amount of funding from ERYC. The useless twats at HCC have really fallen into a hole with this one, it might well have got Assem his stadium.

Please do tell how ERYC will find monies to help fund a stadium development in their 'patch' - **** me the ******s in the East Riding were complaining about pulling up the cobbles in Beverley and wait for it the whole of the county objecting to a massive £2.5m being allocated to Beverley at the expense of other villages in repaving the main market square that hasn't seen a tarmac machine in years.

Imagine the controversy should they ever suggest building a football stadium outside the city - probably take longer to get planning than Falmer and without the help of Lord Prescott!

Borrowing £100m for a project capitalised over say 40 years isn't that costly, the return on investment wouldn't need to be massive, the profits required to service the debt would be a piece of piss with premier league money. Watch this space...

I'm not even sure they would need that much finance, materials costs are flat and have come down since 2007, probably within 2% of 2000 material costs. Labour costs have increased but there is real competition looking for projects like this. A 40,000 Capacity stadium might be doable for around £60M ?? Making the financing even easier.

It won't and yes I agree it is..

If out of all of this nonsense, we get the respect that we deserve as the senior partner (as we have been from day one otherwise the KC would never have been built) then the mud slinging would be worth it.

The Council should now recognise that as a Club we have the clout tomove things on with development of and around the stadium.

Time to get things back on track.

I've said this a few times but Nick Thompson is very confident that the club will get the stadium, and the reason for that is because of all the money the owners have had to pay for maintenance which should have been done by the council. This has to be good news for the club.

Some of the people on there are so wrapped in their bubble, daylight can't get in. Mr Allam says on memorabilia "it's £300 a site" on there that becomes a demand for thousands. A glimmer of recognition that works will need doing to the stadium and that money isn't there to carry them out because not enough is paid in, still leads to a plea of it being nothing to do with FC.

To be fair, some FC fans have changed their viewpoint and point the finger at their own club for letting it descend into farce.

Also some useful snippets on their fans forum gives some insight into the catering subsidy. It seems when FC moved to the KC part of the lease
agreement guaranteed they wouldn't lose out on bar/food takings. For example, if they generated £200k a year revenue at the Boulevard then this figure was guaranteed at the KC.
So, if sales are now only £130k then the SMC would have to make up the difference. Hence a loss of £70k. How they build the cost of sales into this I don't know but it must be taken into account.

I assume someone audited that takings figure that Hull FC supplied otherwise it could have been open to upward manipulation. Although I'm sure they would never have thought of such a thing.....

The 3.5million loan/mortgage taken out against the SMC isn't a drain then, which has nothing to do with Hull FC.

So , when they they bought the SMC did they not do due diligence on the KC stadium to see the state it was in?When anyone buys a house they get a survey done, did the Allams not do this before buying the SMC and taking control of the upkeep of the stadium.

Another question I would like to ask is all the gate receipts that City receive for a home match, do they keep them?

For Hull FC they don't, initially when the moved in the SMC received 50% of gate receipts for crowds over 7500. Hull FC 's average crowds have steadily risen so it would be interesting to see how much the SMC makes from Hull FC home games and whether the total over a season offsets these 200k losses the SMC say Hull FC cost them, especially when you have derby matches against Hull KR with crowds of 20000 plus.

aww i got upto about page 12 on the new thread , but sadly its became hard work .
As soon as someone opened their eyes and actually questioned the FC fan line , they were shot down needlessly .
It spoils learning or understanding whats going on or isnt going on .
Whats all this talk of a confidentiality clauses too ??? as i said in the Barmby situation , theres no such thing as a gagging order when you have the "truth " to tell .
The only risk to speaking publicly is scrutiny so for the Allams to make a statement is a massive risk if they are telling porkies and that the FC side say nothing speaks volumes and reminds me so much of last summer .

The mod on their board need to know when to allow debate to flow , its a critical thing on a forum - especially when you want to know the truth about something.

Due diligence can't and (rarely does) show everything. Ever known anyone that's bought a car only to find later it has problems?

City keep a gate receipts up to a certain amount. As I understand it, the 7,500 value quoted for FC is slightly misleading, there's an annual amount due that roughly equates to that, but both sides pay a value that means they should never be worse off than they were at their previous grounds.

The money taken from FC does not cover the cost of them using the ground, hence the clear statement that they've been propped up by Hull City funds.
