The statement shows just why the KC has to be placed in private hands. It is not able to fulfil its duties of serving the community, without private money being pumped into it.
I know that this is like buying a car, you go around it kicking the tyres and knocking the price down, but actually if this building did not have the support of Hull City as a business, it would be off the road. Hull City are in effect maintaining a community asset without the means to recover the costs

Finding the balance is not going to be easy. Pull out of the KC and lose public support, stay and lose a fortune! The Council should get real for once and put its stadium in order.

I wonder if HDM will invite the author of those letters that appeared in Tuesday's edition to supplement their statements?

They might even consider an apology given that Hull City AFC paid for their memorabilia to be refurbished!!.

The one message I get from that statement is the total lack of competence from our wonderful City Council Leisure Services. Who holds that portfolio again?

No wonder the Allams want to own it. Who in their right mind would pump such large amounts of money into a building which they dont own!

For ****s sake, narrow minded pig headed egg chasers are still coming out with the same bullshit.

"he wants FC to pay for everything"
"he's just taking money from his right pocket and putting it in his left"
"he's going to move the KC stadium to Cairo and nuke hull"

These really are the most delusionial, narrow minded, pig **** thick group of fans, or even any group of people, that I've ever come across in my life. I really do feel for you lot having to put up with these ****wits. We had a few arguments on here whether hull or Leicester was the nicer city, Leicester wins hands down - quality of life, at least 50% of Leicesters aren't brain dead imbeciles.

Oh well , life is never Dull in Ull.

Can't see the peace pipe being smoked between both parties any time soon.

I personally think the story of the pictures being removed brought negative attention to the City, and if I were a neutral, I'd be having a right laugh at our expence (TWS). The reasoning for this excerise should of been made public first (somehow).

If anyone wants to hang a family portrait on the wall at my house, just PM me and we'll sort something out.

By the way, good morning all and have a pleasant day.

How much you charging vic? My mrs had a naked photoshoot done but we've ran put of space to hang them. There's 2 or 3 photos <ok>

Can't believe the egg chasing ****s are calling the Allams 'con men' What great con men they are pumping 50 million pound into a football club about to go out of business forever.

Excellent response from the SMC.

Factual, measured and dignified.

Completely the opposite to the statements we've heard and read from the Council. I don't blame Hull FC fans in any of this because they reacted
to the media reports in a way that most would - and to be honest most City fans would do the same if the roles were reversed.

Now the truth is out, all parties should now be able to move forward and find a solution.

One statement that bothers me more then most though in the SMC statement is the outstanding mortgage from 2008-9 - it seems Duffen/Bartlett
raised money against future income from the Premier Club which was a bit naughty. Hope it was invested in the club and not taken out as a dividend or salary...

It was pretty well documented at the time that Duffen took a £3.5mill mortgage on the SMC just after taking over. I remember because I didn't understand it.

google should find it. Definitely duffen borrowing against the SMC
