Don't believe the Agger stuff, he said himself a week or two ago that he'd happily sign a new deal. I'm sure someone is about to come in, all these deals have been timed for the squad returning from the USA. For all we know, the Carroll could have been on the go for weeks. All in all, £2M now and the big possibility of £17M in a year seems like a good deal. And if West Ham don't take it, then Carroll will have a year more of football, albeit for Big Fat Sam.
