    guys... why not just lets calm down and think about these things.

    1. most of whats being said is rumors that i can see.

    2. for each point there may well be 2/3 explanations we could offer that contradict each other.

    Example;

    Pacheco; so someone said he tweeted he was not going.

    lets actually quote what he said;

    Daniel Pacheco Daniel Pacheco ‏@dani37pacheco

    "unfortunately I'm not involved for the match on Thursday. I will keep working. Always. One day it will come."

    thats it.

    on the same twitter feed:

    Fabio Borini: "@dani37pacheco has helped me the most because I stayed with him in the hotel and he has shown me around the city centre."

    so can we say

    a) rodgers has told him to find another club as rumoured

    b) rodgers is taking the experienced lads he has along cos its a hard trip to the back end of beyond and just as easily danni could play in the return leg.

    ......

    which is right?

    I'd like to see the offical travelling party for the game rather than jump to conclusions on it.

    The release clause in the contract of Demba Ba has now expired, meaning he is likely to stay at Newcastle. This decreases the chances of Newcastle wanting Carroll back.

  5. 1) We've been here before...

    and

    2) We're talking about Adam here too <whistle>

  6. The BBC are claiming Carroll has been left out the squad. They they suggest that he is likely to join Newcastle as this means he won't be cup-tied but, in the same article, they also say:

    Doesn't that sort of ruin their own article...?

    Rodgers is just going to do the same as those before him and play the experienced players and not take any chances.....feel sorry for the like of Dani and Suso........Can see them playing champions league football in a few times and we will still be messing around in the Europa with Adam and Downing in our team..........Football managers are full of ****.

  8. So you're righting the manager off before he has even taken charge of a competitive game eh...? Have a little bit a faith, if not a lot <ok>

    <applause>

    Because 2 kids from the reserves that are world beaters in some peoples heads aren't included.

    maybe BR would like to win the Europa and doesn't want to use it as experiment for the youths?

    Suso is 18, he has three years before he'll be considered as a young option on the bench/starting. That's if he makes it. This is life.

    I know its a bit dramatic...lol

    Was just really impressed with the young guys on tour and was hoping they would get their chance sooner rather than later..........Im just getting pissed off with the lack of information we are getting.......All we really have going for us is our youth and I would rather see them play, than the likes of Adam and Downing...

    But yeh, Im being a real drama queen and should just let him do his thing...he is the expert!!

  12. As i have said on numerous occasions, if you go back two or three years, Pacheco was seen in exactly the same light, look what's happened to him! It is one thing dominating the youth teams, the first team is completely different.

    For example, Nicky Butt was the stand out performing of the famous group of youngsters that Man Utd produced, I'm pretty sure most would agree that the likes of Beckham, Scholes, Giggs and G.Neville turned out to be better players <ok>

    So hard to be aware of what info a manager has, and why he makes his choices... Players attitudes in training, players fitness levels, skill, tactics and formations all come in to who he picks, and we little people don't have a handle on any of that.

    However, if we don't batter these minnows tomorrow night, and if Cole and Adam DO play, I think it is fair to claim Rodgers has well and truly ****ed it up and his honeymoon period is over before it starts. I don't care who is in his plans or not, if he doesn't pick his best 11, he is putting himself before the club. It's hardly putting these players in the shop window, now is it? IF we don't beat Gomel 5-0 and if Adam, gives away free-kicks on the edge of the 18 yard box, and if Cole just strolls around the pitch like an ageing lard-arse, no-one on this earth will want to buy them.

    If we do win and Adam has still fouled every fecker on the pitch and giving possession away with every other pass, it still proves Rodgers is full of ****e, as all the trademark features of Adam's game flies int he face of what Rodgers says he wants to do.

    So man up Rodgers and pick your best 11, not your biggest names 11.

    Ah, but Nicky Butt was given matches to prove his ability. Are you telling me that Rodgers can tell Pacheco is not good enough after 45 minutes, while Fergie takes a couple of years to figure it out?

    It may be still all about match fitness.....Many of our players have had very little or not ime on the pitch so far, so perhaps brendan is just trying to give everyone a run out.......

    On paper this should be our easiest game of preseason so far, so should be run out for the late returning internationals

    You're entitled to your opinion Noblelox, but I disagree. I'm not going to slate our manager after (or before) one competitive match and before the premiership even starts! If we don't win, we don't win. I'll judge BR at the end of the season, and not before. We've had too many managers in too short a time and, hopefully, for better or worse, the managerial carousel has stopped. Do you not think we need to be patient instead of wanting immediate, overnight success?
