It will more than likely happen in October with his P45. The desperation of NP shows no end does it. Pathetic bid, IF its true of course. City are very unlikely to accept £500,000 when others have offered much much more. Alledgedly. ++++++++++++ Ex Hull City full back Bernard Mendy has signed-2 years- for French club Brest. Hope he does not make a tit of himself. Birmingham City reject a £6m bid from Southampton for GK Jack Butland. Also Birmingham bosses left red faced when Lee Clarks appointment was leaked on message boards by his children. Oh dear, Old Rangers contract rebels have been told to reject any further wages IF they wish to walk away for nowt. Only 3 senior players look like they will show up for pre-season next week. Massive oh dear.
Rangers have never lived in the real world - what do the PFA in Scotland say regarding the newco contract pie in the sky Mr Green and his ilk are spouting
Mendy's back in Ligue 1, he's just signed for Brest. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11800/7846709/Mendy-makes-Brest-move
It was revealed three days ago actually, I just hadn't noticed it posted anywhere, I miss stuff on your posts, they all look like a facebook page.
I dont do facebook. So did i when he chose to play. ++++++++++++++++ TOM CRUISE has left Arsenal and joined Torquay Utd. I wonder if they shall get anymore star names down on the southern riviera ? James Hayter has left Doncaster & Jamie McAllister has left Bristol City. Both have signed for Yeovil Town. Wolverhampton are trying to get Manchester City squad player-defender Stefan Savic on a season long loan deal. Steve Davies looks set to leave Derby and head down south. Looks like Ipswich Town are the team.
Its far too late. Heskey will do a great job for Hull City and more importantly help Matty Fryatt score more goals. Heskey is no donkey either. Another Adebola indeed. Plus Heskey can play the 4 - 5 -1 system which Bruce also uses. I think that SB will use both 4-5-1- and 4-4-2 over the season.
Released Sunderland striker talking to a Championship club.. us? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7851331/Abbott-Cook-is-hot-property
Interesting. Free signing and would not be that expensive on wages either. Maybe Mark Cullen will have to look over his shoulder. I would expect SB to want at least 5 bon-a-fide strikers in the squad.
I agree worth a shot to be honest. Mclean and Simpson will both get a chance imo. So Heskey, Fryatt, Mclean, Simpson and A N Other. I'd get on the blower and see if Carlisle fancy Cullen and Bradley on loan. Ablett seems to get the best out of young players. Clarkson probably deserves a shot in pre season/the early cup games.
Agreed. After pre-season some of our youth need loaning out for certain. Max Clark to Grimsby to replace Conor Townsend who would be perfect for York City. Both season long loans. Cullen and Bradley to Carlisle would be a good option But i wonder if we could get Scun.thorpe to take them and keep all our kids close to hand.? I expect our striker options to be : - Fryatt - McLean - Heskey - plus 2 others. Unless Simpson gets his finger out he will be on his way for sure. Clarkson is also another who needs league football at a lower level next season.
Yeah Simpson can go either way for me, although if we are to bring in another 1/2 plus Heskey he's the one to go. Interesting now York City are back in the league wether we try and form an informal partnership with them, loaning them youth ect. With them, Grimsby and Scunny each in a lower teir, we should try and capatalise on that.
Agreed. It makes perfect sense and i am surprised that we have not done something along these lines already.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7852300/Guthrie-to-join-Royals A thug just signed for Reading.
Do they still have Andy Griffin? He's a proper knob and along with Kebe and Guthrie they're getting a bit of a team of twats down there!
I'm not so sure Barnsley are going to be as bad as people have suggested, they've signed some decent players (Mido is a bit of a lump but they got the best out of Vaz Te so why not him?). Huddersfield too are making some noises which might suggest they will finish comfortably in mid table. Would have liked to see us go in for Norwood and continue with the Man U theme; for 400k they've got themselves a solid player. Having said that it's going to take a lot to break up our midfield, Evans and McKenna were solid last season. The only problem there of course is where to put Koren. Players I'd like to see us go in for: GK - Happy with Guzan to come in, if Gonzales comes in as number 2 then great, Peet is good cover for both. DF - Not sure if SB likes McShane, we certainly don't but if we can shift him, we will need cover at RB. We have East, but I think he needs a bit of lower league football, a la Bradley to find his feet. Townsend had a storming season at Grimsby, so he might provide further cover, but Michael Keane coming in would be ok. I think Cooper/Bradley can play as cover for Hobbs, but if another injury strikes, might be an idea to get a half season loan for somebody, such as Scott Wooton or Marnick Vermijl (both of which SAF said can go out on loan). MF - If we lose Koren, we will need somebody who can set up play. I'd like to see us bid for Liam Bridcutt at Brighton, he got their player of the season and he looked really good against us at their place. I wouldn't lose sleep if Brady didn't come back, he looks ok but might have to do a Jon Walters and drop to the bottom and work his way up. Marc Pugh at Bournemouth would be another good shout, inexpensive and can take on full backs. Wouldn't mind seeing Liam Trotter here either but he might cost a fair bit. ST - Heskey has been mentioned a fair few times and I can see it being a successful move, provided he stays fit and his wages are fair. I can't see anybody dislodging Matty Fryatt, he's one of the best strikers in the division and with a target man along side him could easily get 20+ goals. I think we need a another option, so my wild card would be Jack Tuyp at FC Voldendam (who play in the Dutch Championship). He's got 100 goals in 218 appearances, which ain't too shabby. He's a cracking finisher and a real poacher too, if an opponent makes a mistake, he really punishes them. Only 28 and wouldn't break the bank.
Thats very good business from Man Utd as Norwoods contract is up. £400k should cover the drinks bill on there summer tour. BBC Sports and Sky confirm though its a Free transfer. Not overly bothered about Norwood as Bruce has better lined up and we are well stocked in midfield anyway. Good signing for the Udders though. Danny Guthrie on a 3 year deal. I really fear for Reading next season. A dead cert for the drop imo. Not enough quality in there squad. Andy Griffin has gone i think ? But eith way i agree with ^^^^ this. Reading are poorer than the squad they last got promoted with. NB. Yes, Andy Griffin was released by Reading on the 2nd May. ++++++++++++++++++++++ Keith ANDREWS Free transfer move from WBA to Bolton has now also been confirmed on a 3 year deal.
