Christ, if I new he was in Lyndhurst I would have taken a drive over for a spying mission!

I'm delighted by this news, now onto a centre back, right mid or goalkeeper next!
 
Why have West Brom released Keith Andrews :S, he scored 4goals for them.

because people underestimate us
 
Pretty much every non Saints fan I have spoken to thinks we will do well to finish 17th, just have to prove them all wrong
 
I suppose they automatically think any team promoted from the Championship that doesn't have recent Prem experience will be relegated.

We have money - a talented, young and confident spine, momentum and a good manager.

I presume they all thought Norwich, QPR and Swansea would be easily relegated.

I'm pretty confident we won't be relegated.

I don't think you can blame people for thinking that though. I mean, I thought Norwich and Swansea were nailed on to get relegated last season. With QPR then fighting it out with Wigan and Wolves to avoid that last spot.

Only your own fans really know how good you are - unless of course you're a Utd or a City, and are on TV every week for the whole country to see - and thus it's only natural that a lot of non-Saints fans expect us, as a newly promoted club, to come straight back down.
 
Well if you remember no body gave us a chance in hell last season........We do not mind if other teams under estimate us, that is what gave us such a good start last year. Let them do the same this year.........
 
I've a friend who doesn't support us (but comes to Southampton games sometimes) and he thinks we'll stay up, and another who has never been to a Saints game but from talking to me and watching us when we're on TV (as well as being knowledgeable about football) who does, too. More evidence that people who actually know us well think we've got a great chance of survival.
