Agreed. Mad Mick was my first choice so happy that Bruce as my 2nd choice looks to be the man. I just hope his time out of the game has improved his training methods. Ball work instead of endless running and running. No wonder Turner for one had so many knee problems. Indeed. Most of the names filled me with complete dread. Agreed. What people seem to overlook is that Campbell signed for Sunderland over us purely because it was him rather than Brown. Now I'm not saying this means he will come back, just that it's reasurring that players think highly of him and would want to sign for him.
Is that true? The higher wages, the bigger club and a better chance of being in the premier league 1/2/3 years down the line had nothing to do with his decision?

Campbell probably wouldn't get a look in with England at the moment, I'd agree with that. He has, however, got the potential to be knocking on the door regarding the England squad in the near future so he isn't going to be dropping down to the Championship. I appreciate you haven't said he would but some have ( jokingly????) implied a move could be on the cards should Bruce be our next manager. I say 'should' because until he's signed up I'm still weary, very weary.
