how do you feel about the idea of us being his last choice ... I me it seems he's been weighing out his options with all sorts of fresh movements at Norwich etc... which is understandable but not great. you certainly want a manger who wants to be here.
how do people know were his last choice? every decision thats been made lately has had a negative slant put on it by alot on here, im not saying u said were his last choice as fact circa btw. Just seen it implied alot of times, has anybody actually spoken to bruce?? if he becomes manager isnt it in his best interests to do the job to the best of his ability, and isnt that all that matters??? always a negative with some, prob why we always have a ****e atmosphere at the kc too, is it just this city or what?
well the length of time it's taken and the opening at small pl clubs have made me guess. considering how long ago he was first mentioned you'd think it would have been a quicker process had we bEEN his first choice. I know bookies dont dictate everything but lets not kid ourselves he is/was probably included in a few other short lists and if those short lists belonged to PL clubs then you to accept that we were probably not his first choice. I'm happy with him as manager but I don't want us to be a stepping stone or a place holder.
hes just got back off a family holiday , which im pretty sure held things up. you'd like him to be here for the long term depending on how he performed, but as somebody touched on before if other teams do come in for him it'l mean were doing well, ie promotion/playoffs and surely we'd be due a chunk of compo. loyalty in football these days??? hard to find, just hope with the amount of clubs bruce has managed , maybe wants to settle for a time at one club. A
Campbell might be a possibility as dont forget O'Neill may bring in his own players in and push him down the pecking order or even out on loan
Why does Steve Bruce fit with the vacancy. The job discriptionExperienced Premier League Manager Does NOT have a back room team to bring with him Available without compensation Add to that:Man U links Household name in football terms He could actually bridge the gap between the owners of the club and the playing side. Something that we possibly have not seen for a long time.
I've said it before, but people talking about us being "last choice" are ******ed. Unless you are someone like Barcelona or Manchester United, you aren't going to be the "first choice" for anybody. However, what you are always going to be, for every manager that joins the club is the "best available choice".
If you read what Campbell tweeted just after Bruce was sacked from Sunderland that would make it hard for Bruce to go for him anyway i would suggest. Oh no. Whats the point of a forumn if everyione egrees with each other ? Hope the medication works and your back to normal soon. Would I ? After what went on in the summer of 2009 i think not but i accept many would do though. No way are Hull City Steve Brucies last choice club. IMO, only Wigan came ahead of us. Bruce has not had a look in with the other PL clubs in need of and he needs some success after Sunderland. Getting us back to the PL would bring SB that much needed Kudos. Did not PT say that NB had done a deal though in Jan to bring FC back here on loan before Sunderlands injuries scuppered it all ? Rumours of Fulham looking at Campbell as a replacement for Andy Johnson. Wigan would also be a good move for FC. imo
If/when it is confirmed, I'll be as happy as a pig in ****! With Steve Bruce running things next season I would say we have more than a good shot at making the play-off spots and 'maybe' automatic if his luck is in. Bruce really is about the best we can attract in my opinion and I'm dead chuffed.
Exactly. Why do we need yet another thread to go over this Allam is god / satan **** for the umpteenth time. Merge please moderator.
What about el mohamody from sunderland. Sorry if i spelt his name wrong, I'm not very good with foreign names
Still no word to say it is a done deal. I suppose until a Press Conference is announced we can assume they are still talking. Really hope he signs and we can get on with strengthening the squad.
West Ham are after him, but with us having Bruce and the Allam connection who knows. He'd also fit the bill for an experienced winger. I'd definitely take a look.
From HDM's Twitter Expecting #HCAFC to call a press conference for tomorrow afternoon, 2pm at the KC Stadium, to confirm the appointment of Steve Bruce. And from James Smailes who will be at KC for FC's weekly press day Hull City officials have just come into the press room here at the KC, look to be measuring up for a press conference to me #hullcity
