Jesus Christ, just looked and they are claiming it as a "First yet again". Are those cretins part of the Cott OSC by any chance?
He's good enough for our club, if he wants the job. It'll probably be a while before he signs anything though. The mackems hate anyone Newcastle orientated because they have massive chips, which bob carvers would be proud of, on both their shoulders. I just hope he wins the fans over. The bitterness of some people over the Barmby sacking could roll over to next season.
Top of the league for the whole season, promotion, winning the PL next year and the champions league the year after would not win some of the whingers on here over.
Ahhh... the ever common sight of a pessimistic City fan. IMO, we should be getting behind the new boss, not slating him off before he's even got here.
And another poster, yet again like a dog with a ****ing bone... For the record, I'm sitting on the fence with our owners if that's good enough? Their actions have been fantastic or seemingly short-sighted and irratic and it raises questions... the biggest reason I'm sat on the fence though, is because everything seemed pretty rosy with our previous owners for so long. Reading through the threads on this forum have been cringeworthy recently from both sides of this apparent Allam divide. You're certainly one of the worst from the pro-Allam side, but I could pick so many others who are consistently bickering about things that NOBODY knows the facts about... It might as well be a "which is the true religion" debate. I'm praying (no pun intended) come Friday that people shift their focus to the Euros, at least for a week to give this a chance to disintegrate. I've noticed loads of the usual posters have stayed away for a good week or so now. It's tedious, off putting and so, so boring to read through. You open a thread about the likely candidate for new manager and it quickly devolves into a puddle of wet **** because one of the same few trumped up nancy boys is attempting to prematurely play the "I told you so" card when they haven't got a ****ing clue what's going on! The misinterpretations between posters of either side make it ten times worse! Where have all these posters developed such a stubborn, unrelenting agenda? Can we have an Allam debate thread for this please? I'll know what to avoid that way and it'll save so many threads.
Davies would have been my choice but considering some of the names mentioned getting Bruce would be a relief. I don't really like him (or Davies) as a person, but he might be able to do a job for us.
He's probably the best we could have got. He's well respected in the game and has good contacts. Can't really see a downside to it.
i assume dimism is some sort of american monetary theory named after their dime. can you post a link to it please? it appears not to be on wikipedia and i'd like to understand it so i can work out whether i am for or against it. thank you.
The OSC have a pretty good relationship with Mr Allam, it's a load of bollocks made up on here in the last couple of days that everyone has decided (perhaps based on my 'Assem Allam' thread) that the OSC have a big problem with the owners. Just like anyone on here who has expressed concern about them. How come a few people are saying Bruce's will be a 3 and a half year deal? It can't finish mid-season surely? I don't think Ian Garmston is in the group at all any more. Well he's a member but I don't think he helps run it any more. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they are biased to anyone particular. Based on the agressive crap you keep posting, it seems you're the one with the pre-decided bias. I think the owners might chuck a bit more money in now to get the fans back on side, but it doesn't mean Barmby wasn't telling the truth, the two are unrelated. As for Barmby, so what if he went to Man U (I guess you know something?) He deserves a decent job like that. No doubt you'll tell me Man United are biased as well though because they hate the Allams or some other bollocks.
Damage limitation if he is appointed. Biggest name we could have gotten arguably, good contacts and nice guy but it doesn't mean he'll do well. He'd probably do quite good but any assumptions of promotion would be very silly
Dimism A system of worship based on the character "Dim" from "A Clockwork Orange." Believers are referred to as "Dimists" or simply "Dims." /"singin' in the rain..."
looking on oddschecker Bruce is in the top three to land the job as the next manager at 4 or 5 different clubs. from Bolton and Norwich to West Ham and Wigan - not to mention Hull City or Brum
I'm glad it seems like it's going to be sorted now. I was beginning to get frustrated with the unemployed, one-offer-on-the-table manager that is Bruce. Surely the club couldn't have been too far away from saying "You know what Steve? Ram it!" Finally he saw sense, in the nick of time. He'd better not **** off at a moment's notice neither. Though to sum up, I'm satisfied.
Would a gathering of these people be DIM SUMS ???? Would one of the male worshippers be called a DIMISTER ?
Sorry but who out there better than Bruce would you realistically expect to get/want the job? We're not gonna attract the very top managers when we're a Championship club. For the size of our club and current ambitions Bruce is a good appointment.
