Well of course, i Agree, that's what I meant with "we're forced to move on"... I'm just really annoyed with some of our fans who, just because they didn't rate Barmby as our manager, chose to completely overlook the severity of it all. NB's been unfairly treated, whether he's a good manager or not and whether he was the solution for our success is irrelevant.
Of course we have to move on but I'm definitely very wary of the Allams now.
They are business men granted, but they must of cared a little about passion, not many people take a 51million pound risk on something they don't feel passionate about

I don't know Taylor... when you say it like that then yeh sure but they're not stupid. I honestly doubt this was a "gift". If they want to pull the plug, I'm pretty sure they'll want the money back
What confuses me about it is that we all know they're not really football-savvy. So let's assume they did this to "give back to Hull" like he said at the start... then surely he'd just give the money and then take a step back and let someone like AP take care of the footballing world. A sort of donation and you get on with it. Of course he'd own the club and would always use the assets but that's how I imagined it would work.
But clearly they seem to want to be all hands on deck and involved in all aspects of the club. I find that very scary if they know very little about the game.

I feel like this, perhaps when they bought the club, they were going to handle the finances obviously, whilst AP deals with contracts, signings ect, the manager gets the job done and finally we get back to the prem, after a season and half, they realise it's not that easy and when tension grows they don't want to lose face so they sack the people who backchat them, hopefully they will appoint a good manager with a good knowledge of football, and hopefully we will get another Director of Football who has a good football knowledge

As is recorded in the accounts, the club owes £41m to Allamhouse - so it was a loan. If they demanded it is repaid the club couldn't afford it, nor does it have sufficient assets to sell to pay it.
Allamhouse cannot wind up the club as it is a secured creditor.
If you had invested a minimum of £41m into a business would you be happy to just "treat it as a donation" or "take a back seat"? You wouldn't donate that sum of money unless you were an oil baron. And if the club is not being run as you would like it and (reportedly) actions of the management team (as in AP, Maguire) are costing the business significant amounts of money wouldn't you think about taking a more hands-on approach?
In that case, if the Allams DO want the money back, we could do a Portsmouth
The other point to make about todays events is that if they were being serious about scouring the length and breadth of Europe to find a new manager, then is Steve Bruce really the best available?
There is no money, they can't get their money back, as there's no money to take out.
So no, we can't do a Portsmouth.
If you mean administration, then I don't thait that we could. We don't have the assets for that to happen. As AP said earlier in the year, if the Allams had not come on board the club would have been liquidated as it did not have the assets to go into administration.
The only way that the Allams will get their money back is by selling the club. It is not worth £41m now. The only way it is going to be worth anything like that is if it is an EPL club.
It doesn't make any difference, it's all their money and there aren't enough assets in the club to call it in, or to run up debts, so it's a non-issue.
They'd need to be the owners of a Premier League club to do either.
Yeah, you do know what the club did with the money don't you? They spent it on players who didn't get promotion and a manager who got us to eighth. As the players were the same as NP had, and as he had us in a promotion place, that looks like it was NB who failed.
And they haven't asked for the money back. So yeah, I'd say that in conjuction with their charitable donations etc. they are heroes. What did Nick do? The job he was very well paid to do. That's all. So why are you kissing his arse? Nice enough bloke and all that, but an indespensible part of Hull City? I think not.
That couldn't be less accurate. When NP left we were 8th and hadn't actually got into the playoffs all season. Almost immediately after taking over NB had us in the top 6 for a good while before eventually our paper thin squad (which he wasn't allowed to add to unless it was someone the Allams had heard of) couldn't cope with all the games towards the end of the season and we screwed it up, somehow winning our last 3 home games with hardly any player and finishing 8th, just where Pearson had left us.
To those who don't, are you basically implying that we should all sit down with big grins on our faces because someone has done an incredible gesture and gave us £41 million pounds and we should never question their intent, their motives, their actions because after all "they saved us" .
Isn't that how drug lords operate?

I'm not comparing the Allams to drug lords before anyone says anything, I'm simply pointing to the fact that this "you can't say anything bad against them because they saved us" act is not going to last long with some of us if they keep making crazy decisions.
I am not upset about NB not being our manager anymore. I believed he could do a job but if there's someone better then why not, that's football.
What upsets me is what THe "barmby saga" symbolises... It means that on a whim, (let's not forget why NB was sacked, he was sacked for expressing his opinion) the Allams could destroy our club or create some real problems off the field (that will surely reverberate on the field)
I honestly don't know if I want such knee-jerk reacting, football noobies deciding our future.
