Ancelloti junior appointed by Botafogo. Following his Father? One to watch, highly regarded and if the apple hasnt fallen to far from the tree he may well be in Europe before too much longer.
Really intrigued to see how he gets on. Was close to the Rangers job, would be a big risk for them but also feels it could be high rewardAncelloti junior appointed by Botafogo. Following his Father? Brazilian football is mad as you will know. It is such a competitive league. 4 pts between top 7. Then about 7 down to relegation. It is really hard to dominate and get winning runs together. Not to mention it is really physical as well as technical. I think it is high risk for him as they won the title and their first Copa last year. They have high hopes, but very tough place.Really intrigued to see how he gets on. Was close to the Rangers job, would be a big risk for them but also feels it could be high reward

See Mikey Johnston was about to sign for a team over there but their fans went mental about it so they've pulled out the deal

My mate went to River vs Boca before and he said he's seen nothing like it before in his life
Russell Martin confirmed at Rangers. Strange one that

'This has been a horror show for Russell Martin'![]()
Theyd have been better off getting Russell Grant
Or a Jack Russell, they're intelligent dogs so it would probably have a better grasp on tactics.

I hadn’t heard that story but Clough would have been fantastic at SAFC imho and just a shame it just couldn’t get over the line.I’ve been looking for a quote from Brian Clough, albeit unsuccessfully, where he was asked about which manager would make Sunderland great again. I certainly can’t remember his exact words, but he said that the Sunderland job was too big for him. He was then given a few other names of high profile and successful managers. He said that even for them the Sunderland job was too big. He went on to say that the next manager to wake up Sunderland would be a complete unknown. Maybe in RLB we have that “unknown@ coach?
Totally agree mate...I'm your era.....he's been brilliant and long may it continue. Also,it's the support he's had from the ownership which has contributed towards his achievements with us. I don't recall our club being in such a good place.Given the way football is these days with respect to finance and disparity between the have and have nots....RLB must be regarded as the best manager/head coach we have had in my 63 years following this club. Yes we have a won a cup in the past but his achievement from where we were to where we are now is truly mind blowing....hopefully many years of RLB to come.
