There is something there with Parker. But he bailed out in the huff at Bournemouth, implying the squad was useless and didn't have a chance. Gary O'Neill kept them up no bother. A couple of promotions with quite well off clubs is a lot less than Steve Bruce or Colin W***er have managed .
Parker is a strange one. He deserves credit for what he did last season but I also question how much was truly linked to him. The numbers of clean sheets was fantastic but then you look deeper and see thst Trafford’s stats were off the scale so a lot was just down to having by far the best keeper in the league performing very well. I’d rather Parker got the Brentford job than McKenna who I do think is a very good coach.
While Burnleys achievements are obviously very impressive defensively, was a massive part of that just how Parker set up the midfield to never take risks positionally and both just stay deep in possession.
