On the transfer front Its clear Berta is using the same approach this window of just contacting every potential candidate on a list and then narrowing it down based on wages/interest and fees.

In other words I wouldn't put too much stock on all the rumours - we will likely only sign one winger for example despite being heavily linked to 5-6 already.

Jay, come on. The sources we are talking about aren't some random blokes down the pub, they are well-connected with sources and have frequently reported reliable information. We cannot just dismiss that out of hand.
 
Ornstein and HOA are S tier and the two who are utterly reliable. Ornstein literally only ever does absolute facts... HOA is very slightly more Fab-like. Fab gets lots right but also posts lots just for engagement farming.

HOA is a good mid-ground between the Ornstein and Fab. When HOA posts something you know it's true and it isn't just for engagement farming.

He's posted nothing about Kone. Yet. Not sure I trust those rumours at all.

Those 'reliable' sources are not reliable at all. They get it right by chance.
The world of football transfers is a cesspool. Agents drop rumours onto these 'ITKs' because they want to drum up interest. Their job is to maximise fees and contracts. For every REAL story, there are countless that are made up.
You need to understand where these rumours come from - it's not from the club.
In addition, for REAL potential deals, agents are actually going to be less likely to talk to 'ITKs' for fear of ruining the deal.

I will give you an example- the Moroccan midfielder we are apparently in talks with..

1) no way we've spoken to him in the middle of a World Cup.
2) no one had heard of him or mentioned him
3) he has a decent (not great) game against Brazil and the next day the rumours start flying - this is an agent maximising potential deals off the back of good PR (which may have been paid for in the first place).

If you believe we are in talks with that player and all of a sudden these so called ITK's like Ornstein happen to get the inside track directly after the game and PR then I have a bridge to sell you in the Sahara.

If you believe 0% of these rumours you'll be just about correct.
 
Still want to know who this third big mystery attacker is we’re apparently talking to. Is it actually Vinicius or Rashford? Hope not. Maybe it is Diomande.
