I don't think they've been playing particularly well from what I've seen and read, but they have still managed to win the last 2, and drew with Boro before that.
Interim till Jan for me. Don’t change something that’s going good, if we go on an unbeaten run until the New Year then he deserves it 100% & should be given the funds to get us a proper striker to go full steam for automatic promotion too
Yes, we need to know if TondA also has a TondB.True but they're not in great form. My main point is I'm interested to see how Tonda and the team react when the opposition don't allow us to do what we did against Charlton.
Well we beat QPR and Wednesday and we were only on the way to becoming Brazil thenYes, we need to know if TondA also has a TondB.
If how much he’s paid varies his motivation then he shouldn’t get the jobI voted to give him until the end of the season and then assess. I personally don't see the point of bringing someone new in now. There was clearly not a stand-out candidate and I can't see that changing this season. Even if, as is being reported, Leeds are close to sacking Farke, I don't see him as being massively better than what we have now, even if he did agree to come here which he may not. Tonda is (so far) doing a great job and it seems the players are playing for him so, for once I would stick rather than twist and see where we are at the end of the season.
The only negative I see is that giving him a full contract (on full wages) might make him slightly less motivated so maybe offer him a massive bonus if he gets us promoted. That way, if we're not promoted and we change manager we're not in the postion, yet again, where we have to pay off a contract.
Personal preference is that he continues as an interim for a bit longer and gets truly assessed.
But I feel pretty confident that he will be given it if we beat Leicester.
Hope we dont go for a 2 and a half season deal at this stage though. Maybe offer 18 months with a year extension if promoted?
Yep at 32, his only motivation. Is success surely. Money will follow the successLength of contract doesn't really matter as I bet he's currently being paid peanuts. I bet a three year contract for Eckert will be cheaper than the six month contract we gave Juric.
It's worth pointing out that a lot of credit is owed to Spors.
Yes he ****ed up with Still, and was rightly criticised for it, but he clearly saw something no one else did in Eckert.
Yeah, the strategies of signing proven talents (Azaz & Fellows) and unearthed gems (Scienza & Jander) both look to be paying off.Very true. Turns out our summer window wasn’t too bad either after all.
