Probably wrong thread, but looked at latest scores and see Rangers 1-3 up at Celtic Park. This puts Rangers equal on points with Same goal difference.

Just shows how bad Martin truly was

And I’m sure there are loads of other experienced managers that are Rooney etc that could’ve don’t a great job. I’m not sure why you decided to list names of coaches that aren’t so great!

What massive turnaround are we seeing btw?

Still 3CBs, slow ponderous football. As bad as anything we say under Still.

He did great to start, and he may turn out great, but the point you appear to overlook is we literally gained noting by appointing him when they did, we could have waited.

Why didn’t we wait?
I am still waiting to hear a great name that we could have appointed when Still was sacked or who was available when Tonda was appointed.

Maybe we should have gone for the experience of the chap Celtic appointed. He is doing well!!

Or the chap in the opposing dugout today. He is doing a little better <whistle>

Anyhow, not gonna fall out over it, i get your point, just don’t agree with why we had to appoint Tonda as a full time manager right now, and since we did we have been pretty ****.

And like I keep saying, I do hope he comes good, just we didn’t need to make a weird appointment of someone with literally zero experience.

And if he carries on like he is, next season we can go down to L1 and reset <wizard>, and hopefully be sold.

Still too early to negativity judge him for me, your judgement may well be right and we see the rest of the season out with a whimper and he was another wrong appointment by SR.

I do get it, we should be doing far better than we have done this season and we have had a few years of really **** performances and the buck stops with SR.

It's clearly not easy replacing managers and getting the right appointment, ask a number of supporters, Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea, Forest, Wolves, West Ham, who have all made a number of 'wrong' decisions.

We need to hit the jackpot like Palace or Sunderland have.

Maybe we have with Tonda?

Maybe not!

Yeah it is too early for both negative judgement and positive judgement I’d also suggest.

Funny thing with Sunderland, they wanted Still before that guy and Still wouldn’t leave France at the time.

This is exactly spot on. He wasn’t going to get a better gig than saints this season so why not wait? We’re a PL club going to come in for him?
