Well he wasn’t last night as Azaz was. And TBF, Azaz hasn’t scored or assisted yet this season. Yet he seems to get a free pass or certainly goes under the radar. He's been a huge disappointment so far. It was Azaz who looked Sunday league level when he butchered that pass last night. Should have laid it on a plate for Downs.Lol. You’d hope not. The whole gang was in attendance last night, so you’d imagine that’s because a new manager is in sight?
I think Azaz played the pass to Leo for his goal, although to call that an assist would be stretching the meaning of the word.
Yeah, the fact they're interviewing currently would suggest that it's absolutely not going to be Tonda.
Ok, statistically he has an assist but if it's possible for an assist to be completely irrelevant to a goal then that's it!
Thought we looked lively for the first 15 minutes last night, trying to press from the front etc, however after that we were mainly second best. Scienza is the shining light in this team by a long long way.
Thought there was several really poor performances with Manning and THB the worst two. What was that corner THB gave away? You see that on the fields at Sunday league.
Thought Jander was quiet last night and the international break and Romeu signing is coming at the right time for him.
Fellows and Azaz, again flattered to deceive, but again, playing in positions they weren’t signed for.
Need to sort the GK place out as we will just keep swapping 2 ****e keepers throughout the season.
But at least we won. Eieieio and all that rubbish.

We need you to say how **** he is and will never score a goal at this level.

Jander is an interesting one. Some people in the TSP group were complaining about him last night (which I thought was a bit weird) - if you look at the stats, he's by far the person that makes the most tackles in the team, including last night. But yes, perhaps needs a bit of a break at some point (hello international break as you say).
Speaking of stats - nice to very much outperform our xG for the first time in about ever. 0.68 xG overall and 0.27 from open play...

I do think he'll massively benefit from playing alongside Romeu.
By no means was that a classic game or a great performance to kid ourselves that we have turned a corner.
But
Tiny steps fo now, a win at QPR is a good result, and whilst our midfield to front line was poor, there was some heroic defending to be pleased about. There seemed a bit more aggression, passion and togetherness.
Build on the confidence, the belief will come and the best players in the correct positions will mean the team will pick itself.
That win was without Jalert, Charles and Stewart plus Oriol, all of whom will make us stronger.
That's all without a new manager in.
So, certainly not getting carried away but compared to 5pm last Saturday, more optimistic.

Ha, during the game last night, I was just typing
'When was the last time we went 2-0 up'
but before I posted it, it was back to 2-1 lol.
I did this at the game, said to the person next to me "nice to be 2 goals up for the first time since last September... oh"
Not reading too much into last night in terms of team or individual performances or thinking about a turned corner etc.

Needs mentioning again just how dreadful the attempted pass from Azaz to Downs was. It was such a simple pass to make and he was under absolutely no pressure.
There was at least 3 occasions where Wood absolutely lost it at him too, makes me wonder if he's not settled in the squad at all.

These two points are the crux of our problems. We still haven't seen Fellows RAM, Azaz CAM, Leo LAM together yet and therefore are not getting the best out of the former two yet.
A new GK and Striker are a must in January.
