Completely forgot we were playing as was stuck at work. Great to get some points on the board but doesn’t sound like a great game.

How did downs do?

Decent enough, by the time he came on we were just camped in our half. He won a couple of headers and should’ve had a chance if Azaz wasn’t ****

Yeah we look rather weak in midfield and Downes is still too negative for me.

Thought Downs had his best performance by far. Absolutely criminal that Azaz ****ed up that pass to him under no pressure.

Ah just seen you thought so too. Good to know!

Really? It is funny how you see things differently at the ground to TV. I'll take your view over mine as a result, but I thought Jack was awful. The slowest thing I've seen since an Aribo sprint.

I also don't think it's fair to complain about DD tonight (not that you were) - he had no opportunity to do anything (particularly as Azaz couldn't manage a five yard pass to him) and he competed/won the ball on the few occasions that he could.

He was a little better tonight, but still grim.

1/10 compared to his usual 0/10

Off the ball, marks no one and ambled about in the wrong places. Weak and didn’t offer an outlet. Too deep.
But he did sprint once and managed to complete a pass.

So he did more than Aribo then!

Baby steps with this guy I think. We're so bereft of options I'd rather Tonda played him in the next game to try and get him a bit further along the line, seeing as it's likely Tonda's last game in charge.

Arma has been so poor that normally I’d say it’s probably worth it..

But it’s really like playing with 10 men when downs is on. I worry that a lot of the pressure against us was because he’s a non-entity

To try and be positive, at least they all fought til the end. They didn’t collapse and give up like the last couple of games. Have to be happy about that

Nah. The pressure was because we decided to not defend crosses and sit 11 players on our goal line. Including Downs because he's tall, so there was nobody to clear to.

When we did have time to build a sensible clearance, we hoofed it anyway.

Our clearances totalled 58. Only 1 Offside in the whole game, although I was a bit suspicious about their goal, no VAR to prove otherwise!

Ridiculously harsh. He made some headed clearances, he was open for a tap in if Azaz hadn't ballsed up the pass, he did hold the ball up once when I thought he was fouled on the left touchline.

Won a good attacking header against one of their CBs too, which up until that point was unheard of.

Azaz was far worse but Downs is the one getting picked on. Ridiculous.

Picked on? Someone literally asked, 'How did Downs get on?' - Why would I talk about Azaz?

Okay then for what it's worth, Azaz was crap, Aribo was crap, Downes was crap, Jander fairly poor, Bazunu crap, J-Rob crap until he scored, Fellows crap, Manning crap. It was only really our CBs and Scienza who played well tonight. Satisfied?
