Greaves sold cheap - Ipswich got totally rinsed- second biggest rinsing since Swansea got done by Ehab for Clucas

His MV at the time was greater than now, granted, but we chose to take it all up front due to cashflow as opposed to the usual installments arrangement and that would have come at a cost to the club. And would have allayed some of the concerns still held about how we meet our 20m of outstanding fee commitments.

And anyone wondering why Hughes and Pandur wasn't sold this window it's because we pretty much need to sell them for more next summer to meet those commitments.

Genuinely, what is the "this" that people are talking about? All I can see is Jim saying that he's now heard the same as what others have previously said they've heard, but there's next to no specific detail on anything that's happened so I don't know what I'm meant to be surprised or shocked by.

Reminds me of last week when there was a meltdown about us selling Hughes and Pandur, someone even said they "can't believe the club is doing this" when the only real news was that we'd received a bid for Hughes and rejected it, and as it turned out it never went any further than that.

Acun was spotted buying Euro millions tickets in the newsagents and loudly wailing that a jackpot win was his only chance of breaking even. He then tried to buy some scratchcards with Turkish lira shaped like a pound coin.

As an aside, it now explains why the club shop refused to refund the customs toll fee I had to pay twice - once to them before sending and then to the actual customs on delivery. I am also now a small creditor of Acun's big gamble.

you could be the reason we have an embargo

Very late payments some of which haven't been paid, some payments to larger suppliers that have reluctantly been paid late. Late payment of wages, late payment to multiple clubs not just Barry. Acun seeking 'investment'(a buyer), Acun lying about the financial state of the club as found by a KC.

60m debt, 20m outstanding football creditors, Greaves and Philo sold cheap for cash up front...

...now club employees jumping off a sinking ship.

Yeah pal. All heresay made up by supporters with a vendetta. Righto.

Which club employees?

Sorry, but that really is laughable, and nothing more than your speculation.
If we're in such dire straits then we'd need cash now and over the coming months.
Then come next summer we'd anyway have a long enough list of other players we could cash in on if we really needed to. Belloumi, Matazo, Williams, Gyabi, McCarthy have big upsides. At least a couple of those are going to go for good money in the future.
Even established players like Drameh, Millar, McBurnie have decent market value, Giles & Palmer arguably too. (Yes, I know, Belloumi, Matazo and Millar have to prove their recovery but I'd bet 2 of the 3, if not all 3, will do so).
Your 'logic' just doesn't stack up.

We don't use logic on here.

I have no idea if your reading of the situation is correct or not but it begs one question.

If things are that bad why not accept a 10 million pounds bid for Hughes?

I pondered this myself, but then overlooked the most obvious thing. Our owner is a dotard.

They said he would be worth £20m next Summer. So that's what I think they're gonna go for as a price, regardless as to whether we need the money.

Surely it's always better to sell them for more down the line as well as getting an extra year of value out of them. If we had to urgently sell them for cash now that would be the most alarming thing.

I'm sure that the finances are a mess but I don't see how not selling those players can be spun as a negative.

It isn't a negative, we've obviously managed to raise enough funds for now by shifting others
