Agreed, given our current predicament it seems like a no brainer to me. At worst he’ll be as effective as Burstow and potentially he will be a decent option at this level.

All the while Burstow might grab 6-7 goals and we can reclaim 400k of the 2m we spent

There are worse outcomes than Burstow and we've seen it from other Premier League loanees in recent years. Oulad-M'Hand or Harvey Vale for example.

You honestly think he wasn't trying to sell, baulked at what he'd have to lose to do so and the. said whatever put him in the best light when it got reported?

He can't sell without walking away from about 65 million.

He simply can't afford to sell the club in it's current state. It's not worth what he's invested.

If he could, he would have.

I have no idea if he was or is trying to sell - hopefully he is - but I can no longer trust what he says anyway. That said, his statement about people being welcome to invest but not have ownership of the club was stupid - who is going to invest in the club for no return?
