His professional record and young age is irrelevant. Everyone had to start somewhere. If he’d been tearing it up in the premier league he wouldn’t have been coming here he’d have been going to somewhere like Spurs for about £50m.

Agreed, given our current predicament it seems like a no brainer to me. At worst he’ll be as effective as Burstow and potentially he will be a decent option at this level.

All the while Burstow might grab 6-7 goals and we can reclaim 400k of the 2m we spent

Think Burstow will hit double figures in first half of season there.

**** me. He must have very thick skin if he hasn't noticed previously. Or is it just the botanic mob, the free holiday types and a couple on here who think he is great?

You honestly think he wasn't trying to sell, baulked at what he'd have to lose to do so and the. said whatever put him in the best light when it got reported?

He can't sell without walking away from about 65 million.

He simply can't afford to sell the club in it's current state. It's not worth what he's invested.

If he could, he would have.
