Hull City have named former Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams in their squad to face Sunderland at the MKM Stadium on Tuesday night.

Williams has been taken on trial by the Tigers and was named on the bench against the Premier League new boys as he looks to try and earn a deal.
City are in the market for cover at left-back, and Williams will be given the chance to impress new head coach Sergej Jakirovic over the next few days ahead of the new season, having not played a competitive game since a loan spell at Ipswich Town in September 2023.

The 24-year-old has endured a difficult past and was given a 14-month prison sentence back in May, suspended for two years after being found guilty of dangerous driving following a crash a couple of years earlier. He was banned from driving for three years, and told to do 180 hours of community service, but will hope to get his life back on track in East Yorkshire.

 

You can just see it coming. He signs a contract and at the press conference, he admits to his mistakes and promises to learn from them to make his parents proud. He then jumps in the driving seat of Giles car and knocks down the traffic lights outside Parkers.
